Just updated to 19B74 on 13 Pro.

No fix for ProMotion bugs. Kinda shocking Apple would release this feature half baked and refuse to fix it a month later. A shame. iPhone probably getting returned.
They’re not refusing to fix it, if you mean the promotion issue. It’s either just not a high priority, whereas other things are (such as them wanting to get SharePlay out into the world, along with some other bugs that were either higher priority as they affect more users than the promotion one, or are quicker to fix with less impact on the teams).

Apple have stated they are aware of issues with ProMotion and will fix it, so it will come.

Yeah I don’t have those other issues either, just the App Store one. Might try IPSW with restore this time and see how it goes. After that, I’m done because it isn’t a bug that I think requires that much of my attention and effort. 🤣

do that on the official 15.1 release, will give your phone a fresh stable build before you jump back in. Like a good spring clean. 👍🏼

on the iphone 11 pro, this RC occupies a little more than the betas, 9.49Gb compared to the 8.81Gb of iOS 15.0.2
At this rate, iOS 15 will end up occupying more than 10Gb just the system. It is noted that the new devices start from 128Gb hahaha

Anyone else’s Shared With You album now completing missing in the photos app?
Nope, still there on mine.

Is it worth upgrading to RC from 15.0.2 or just wait for full public release.

Did not bother jumping on beta train this time.
Someone else asked earlier in the thread, and I replied saying that many people have said that B4 was much better than 15.0.2, and RC is just a few builds up.

For me, seems stable enough. Might as well get it now, and beat the rush on Monday. 😁

I haven’t used it much because I’ve done the update over night. But it feels good. Much better than 15.0.2. Let’s hope the battery life will be good too. It really sucks on my XS Max

Can you please explain how do you properly do IPSW with restore? By restore you mean full reset?

Yes, a full factory reset. It can also be done without resetting and losing your data. If you have a Mac, you can do it through Finder. Option key then click restore and you select the IPSW file and it’ll restore your iPhone. Be sure to backup first. And don’t forget to download the IPSW file before you start. You can this the same way with the update button instead of restore, if you don’t want to factory reset. I’m blanking on the key you press if you have Windows, maybe someone else on the forum will know.

Thanks for confirming. I genuinely don’t understand what’s going on with this software… but in my experience it’s wank.

But I’m going to call it quits here because people must be sick to death of reading me going on about how crap this all is (again, in my experience).
No problem. I have no idea but it’s driving me nuts. I feel better that it isn’t just me but it’s also strange that so many others aren’t having these photo issues.

Thanks for explanation, this was very helpful. One more question please. I can do this restore via Finder with any IPSW anytime if Apple still signs version of iOS I want to install right? For, example today I can install iOS 15.1 RC with specific IPSW file and tomorrow I can download iOS 15.0.2 IPSW and restore my iPhone, right? No need to go to recovery mode etc?
