Just tried this also and both press 5 times and hold with volume started the countdown for emergency call.
13pm here. Dev beta 4. Just tested it and it works for me. But of course I canceled too.

Going to play with it tomorrow and likely do an ipsw.
Something is hinkey to have both methods fail.
rather have the old 911 also.
Definitely not for me!! After AB stuff up from Apple and now some here are complaining it’s not really 100% fixed I’m definitely starting away from this beta. iOS 15.1.1 running butter smooth and everything works. iPhone 13 Mini.
Deleted the app, fully, and reinstalled. All working. Weird.

Mine was off, for some reason. It’s now on again. So before, I just got the second image on 5 presses. Works now though.

I have reverted to 15.1.1, these 15.2 beta3 and beta4 just killed me.
Cameras not focusing, brightness not working properly, multiple battery drains during the night without reason, carplay issues which locks apps if you lock the iphone screen, everything was nearly unstable and terrible, the worst beta i’ve seen since many years.
Anyone thinking the same as me?

Sounds like a horrible experience..only issue I’m seeing right now is CarPlay, when I get a text or call my head unit will go to full screen and start playing the last song I was listening to on Apple Music .. even if I’m in the middle of full screen navigation it will knock me out of that screen now
Maybe not. Betas aren’t necessarily the complete path to the finished release. Sometimes, certain things are turned off or ignored for a core OS reason then the switch is flipped to fix the other things…

I did a reinstall on my 13PM via ipsw this morning.
Now I have a new issue with the Emergency…
Maybe an old issue?
I tested the Emergency SOS this morning after the reinstall and even if I have the 5-Press option turned off, it still works.
Press 5x and the count-down commences.
What am I missing?

It would be very surprisingly if they’re going to release it with this bug.
Especially so late in the year where we would have to wait several weeks for the next updates.
Apple Music is an important service for them, with a lot of people are going to get their beats/AirPods as gift for Christmas and want to try out Apple Music.

Hmm not sure. I’ll do a bit of digging over the next few days.
I’m baffled by the direct questioning every new beta, repeat questioning with a lack of replies or acknowledgement for help.
