It's not uncommon, My current phone and my previous iphone both do this since at least iOS 14. Personally, I am not sure if it is because my cell reception is only 50% at the time or what but it is not uncommon to have a slight drain.
Yep wasn’t really complaining but just more of an interaction feedback wise. I think you’re right the cell coverage is average to poor where I am.

I get no iPhone wake at all if my Watch receives notifications. Seems there is a thread on the Apple forums confirming this is now how it works. If watch is off or on charge the notifications do work when iPhone is rested. Mine follows this exact behaviour. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/253217242
It has been that way for years. If you're wearing an Apple Watch and it's unlocked you don't see notifications on the iPhone. No point in wasting battery on both. I'm guessing you haven't paid attention to that process until now.

I know, I just wanted to point out that it more common and not an issue with just your phone for example. It is annoying but the way batteries are, they are almost always in a state of discharge, even when not in use.

FWIW, another data point:

15.3b1 running well on my 12PM since I installed about 5 days ago. Phone calls are solid, whether on cellular or wifi calling. No problems with 1st or 3rd party apps (is there such a thing as 2nd party apps, btw??). Widgets, bluetooth connections, wifi, CarPlay, navigation, camera, all working fine.

Battery life is usually good. Slightly more battery drain overnight. Not quite the 9-10 hours of screen on time I'm accustomed to on my 12 Pro Max. But not bad, and I certainly don't regret installing this beta.

Had an issue with Telegram during and after a video call. The app froze a few seconds but call was still active then the iOS main settings screen was just a white screen. Resolution was to reboot.

I don't think so, because in each beta I have been using the mobile as a wifi access point because the adsl connection that we have in my area is 7Mb and with the data the download of the ipsw files is faster, and in beta 2 this modem it was much better than now. I did not have these coverage losses, and less the drainage when sharing the internet with the mobile. I just used it and I spend 6% in 15 minutes, the same as I was spending until now to download 7Gb, which is usually about 40 minutes. I do not understand this change for the worse, and less to a version of the modem that has been used with better results. I suppose that the operator version will also influence, because these if it stayed the same as in ios 15.2 final. I have tried to find some way to put the 15.2 modem, but this here is impossible from what I see.
Typically, a beta 1 will contain an older modem firmware from a previous beta of the prior build. That seems to be very common. I suspect beta 2 will return to the newer 15.2 release modem firmware version if it goes as it usually does. It usually isn't an intentional change back to an older version.

This is pretty common with a Beta 1. There was a modem update in RC2, and Apple had already begun work on Beta 1, so they released it using the modem firmware that was available to them at the time as opposed to going back and re-validating with new firmware.

WaruiKoohii also explained on page 3, along the same lines as you.

So B2 with the new firmware will be ???

I do not know if it is normal to get the first beta with an older version of the modem, but in ios 15.2 it did not happen, which is when I looked at it, and in 15.3 if it has happened. Maybe it will depend on the rate of development or I don't know. Where I wanted to go, is that this version of the modem has already been used, and now it is offering me worse performance than in beta 1 of 15.2, which is what it came out with. I don't think we'll see a launch next week, so let's see if the next version will go up or stay on this one for a few more betas, personally I hope it goes up haha

Storage does not open for me. It is just stuck on an endless loop

Battery Update

IPP11 2020
I am averaging approx 40 minutes for each 10% - 6-7 hours.
Using Safari most followed by YouTube

13 ProMax
I am averaging approx 80 minutes for each 10% - 13-14 hours
Using Spark, Messages, Phone and Kindle most

Under this beta battery has improved for the IPP.
For the 13PM, Phone eats battery especially on 5G/LTE

Question, was on Beta 1 15.3, I've removed the beta profile and restarted my phone but the phone is still showing Ios 15.3 under about section of the phone, any ideas as to why?

Because you have removed the profile which gives you beta updates, you’ve made no changes whatsoever to the operating system.

In a nutshell: Removing a profile does not revert the operating system to a previous version.

Hey man, this is all coming from a good place by the way, please have a read up on betas and profile behaviour, the pros and cons to what your getting into. If your phone bricks, as I’m guessing your knowledge on this stuff is minimal judging from your previous question, you would be in for a hellish ride and probably lose some important data to you, plus a phone that wouldn’t work.

If your thinking is just removing a profile and a restart would uninstall an operating system on a device and reinstall the official release, 15.2, there is a huge learning curve ahead of you. I’ve dug out a few links for you. Happy reading and Happy New Year 🥳

Calling all HOMEPOD MINI owners, I’d like a hand please. I hope this isn’t related to iOS15.3 B1… and I’ve also read Spotify hasnt yet updated its app to allow support, but, saying that the Apple support page for changing the default music app to 3rd party on the home pod is quite straight forward. Only thing is, under Media in home pod settings it states you can select the music playing service of your choice… as you can see, Spotify isn’t showing up here, even when I have selected a song playing through Spotify as directed on the home pod. ??

Overnight ( screen off ) battery loss still seems to be on par with my Samsung mobile devices. 🤣 lost 6% last night over a 7 hour period. That’ll be my highest ever since owning an iPhone.

The truth is that I am already looking forward to beta 2 just to see if they change the modem or do something, because not only is it that I have worse coverage, but out of nowhere it loses the internet connection via 4G and I have to put and remove the airplane mode so that it returns. Not to mention that I don't know why, the scroll in some apps is noticeable as choppy and jerky.

My Siri is the biggest power user - I don't use it - I think I have 2 times since I owned iPhones. What is it doing listening in case I do want to use and thus using up battery that way
