iOS 15.3 RC ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

I think iOS 15 is having geo fencing issue in general .. App Clips, hand washing when return home, august smart locks all don’t work how they should and all rely on GPS and Geo-Fencing, only time all these work was 15.3 beta 1 now 2 out 3 don’t work and smart lock works once in a while on 15.3 RC

Intermittently I would have to tap an icon on the screen several times to get an app to open. or get an item to respond. Yes it improved with the 15.3 betas and RC. Practically eliminated for me.

It is so frustrating how they can so monumentally fook up a pretty important part of the OS with the release of 15/watchOS 8 and still, many many updates down the line, it’s no nearer to being fixed.

Very frustrating.. what gets me that it will work on certain betas but when we get to a final release it doesn’t work ??‍♂️

iOS 15 has been so frustrating since the original beta 1. As we have progressed from beta to beta, there has been incremental improvements. Thanks to @Pearsey for his reinstall suggestions. However when I think about this, having done this a few times, I am hoping it won’t be needed to correct issues as the normal user just OTAs.

At this point I like 15.3 RC on my IPP11 (mostly) but not so much on my 13PM. Have to say the battery is pretty darn good though ?

Silly question but seeing Siri on the battery graph, do you see a visible drain, or does it seem benign? The reason I ask is that there are other apps since 15.2 that show up on the graph as background activity but does not seem to actually be hitting the battery percentage at all.
 
When I activate a code for screen time and it is asking for my Apple ID as a back up and I try to pick my password from the keychain, the settings app crashes every time. It works when I copy paste the password instead.

I also noticed that my device shared „sleep“ routine is active on my MacBook Pro when it should not be (wrong time, like at 6 pm)

What annoys me the most is seeing „find my“ in the top 3 of my battery stats all the time, even while I am asleep. You think it could be the MagSafe wallet being attached to my phone at all times?

I have heard from others that it seems that this has to do with the airtag stuff. It is very possible if you use Magsafe wallet since it is doing the same thing as airtag. Anyway to turn the magsafe wallet off to test one night? You will know if you can disable it to compare.

Looking at the little stuff now....

AirPods Pro - When I open the case, the connect dialog showing the battery level does not appear on either the IPP11 or 13PM. If I check via battery widget, they are there and connected. The splash screen does not appear.

Feedback reported.
 
iP12+ DFU restored and set up as new (as always with every release) minus iCloud contacts.

downloaded music is painfully slow to change songs while on Bluetooth, at least a 5 second delay between when I change the song and when it actually starts playing. have never had this issue in any past release.

Since launch, the following apps have frozen requiring killing and relaunching:
Kindle
PDF Expert
Blink
Quakefeed

Since launch, the following apps have crashed to springboard during use:
Teams (MS)
Reddit
Citibank
Heckfire

This weekend, I had to double tap an app or more 9 times as it failed to launch on tap one. Apparently the touch issue is not quite fixed.

Yes. It is better but not eliminated.

I’m seeing all these battery issues, but… my 13PM was fine on b1 and now on RC, but there wasn’t a huge difference on the other betas. Maybe I’m not paying enough attention …
