Not a buggy mess for me. Quite the opposite. Really solid B1. Battery is great, and stable. Performance and animations smooth. A couple of bugs have popped up in 15.4 yes, but more have been fixed from 15.3. Safari running nicely as an example - PDF viewing fixed. Memory leaks look good.

If you told me I was on a beta I wouldn’t believe you. IP12.
So far I approve. At least the battery is more durable than on the last stable for me; seems especially to affect Safari and videos. 15.4 seems to be a big improvement again, glad to see.

It is amazing how some people have a certain issue while others don’t. [...]
Well, I think that's just how many ordinary bugs behave.
Those which affect all people the same way are usually discovered very easily, therefore they are normally ironed out in the early stages of the development process.
An average bug which makes it into a beta or even a release version often behaves quite differently in different scenarios, thus making it difficult to reproduce or discover it. Have a look at these forums here: for almost any bug mentioned here, there are always people who state that they don't have the same problems.

Sorry to ask out of line, but since when is the “Lossless” indicator in the Music app gone?
And does anyone know if downloaded songs are still streamed in lossless when streaming is possible? The whole download/stream thing is still a mess.

You sure the update haven’t turned off Lossless in settings?

Indicator still shows up for me on an iPhone 13 Pro.

For me online games (like the casino ones - in browser), doesnt work on 15.4 beta1.
Neither Safari, nor Chrome.

Same here. IPM13

I hope the touch registration/ghosting is fixed in 15.4. Shortcuts has an issue where it crashes. Shortcuts has been completely rewritten in Swift, probably the reason why it crashes.
Shortcuts was crashing since inception for me. Almost always when creating a shortcut or automation and trying to test run it the app crashes immediately. It still runs the shortcut/automation, but I can’t observe it in the app and have to find it again. 11 Pro

Do you mean you can’t edit the Shortcut? I have also experienced the crashing of a Shortcut while testing it. With iOS 15.3 the crashing seems to be happening a lot less.

It’s already stable, all that’s new in 15.4 really is unlock with a mask which is 2 years to late zzzzzz
Considering only recent devices support this, it’s probably not as easy as you (who isn’t a dev obviously) might think.
Edit: just saw your other comment, I’d delete this if I could.

Just tried it with my longest shortcut (although only 23 actions and it’s with ‚pick a number‘ ‚if number is‘ stuff) and it didn’t crash, but automatic scrolling is choppy as heck and takes its sweet time to get to the current action (wait for xx seconds). Oh and yes I can edit it.

This has been happening to you since Shortcuts was introduced (i.e., 3 years ago)?

If so, I’ve never seen anyone with that complaint. Something is clearly wrong (and its not hardware, since you would not have had an 11 Pro 3 years ago).

23 actions is a fairly large shortcut by the way. I know there are some maniacs, er, power-users, out there who write them with hundreds if not thousands of actions, but most people have 3 or 4 tops.

So Maps (in CarPlay at least) just randomly forgets that it's navigating. You have to go back to the Maps app itself and tap on the screen to get it to go "Oh yeah, I had a task to perform!".

Anyone else experience that?

… alright, not inception. I was referring to the current Shortcuts app, since automations are possible.

I’m actually sad, I had to revert back to 15.3 only bc of poor performance of reception, everything else was running great but its tough if you can’t receive data or make a call ?. (13PM , installed IPSW, T-Mobile)
