If anyone has any of the soma smart blinds could you please try something for me? Could you say: hey Siri close (insert your curtain name here) 50%

Or ask it to open any percentage, whatever.

On 15.4 beta 1 and this version, using Siri to control them will only fully open or fully close. It just adds to the list of things not working for me. Would appreciate if anybody could see if theirs are working correctly or not. As always I do have full control in the home app itself, it’s just when using Siri. Thanks in advance.
Siri's been crap since 15.4 beta 1.

Shortcuts that I've configured, such as "I'm leaving" (which turns off my radio, amplifier and all lights) now just gets a "ok, see you later" useless response, instead of actually running the shortcut (which has worked flawlessly for over a year).

I’m not disagreeing with you in anyway shape or form, but the hand washing reminder when getting home affects absolutely everybody,.........
Umm not realty. I don't really need to be reminded to wash my hands. I kinda know when I need to. Just sayin :)

Maybe set a normal reminder, "Wash Your Hands NOW!!!!!" and set location on and select "home". Perhaps until/if they ever get that one resolved. I mean if you really need to know when to wash up. 😄

Did they fix the issue with iPad OS randomly rebooting? And there’s currently a bug with the Carrot app where you can’t edit widgets. Hopefully this beta fixes that.

Does anyone else seem to have problems uploading photos to iCloud on cellular? I took 4 pics of my car roughly 4mb each 4:45p. Cell data is good at 20 Mbps. They’re still uploading at 6:20p. And yes I reset network settings.

Anyone else having issues with using shortcuts and trying to change Watch faces?

When I go into shortcuts for the Watch faces it doesn’t find any.

I don’t think that’s going to change.
You are probably correct but Aaron has said it is not yet known if intentional or WIP. I saw someone earlier ask about this so wanted to point it out in case they saw it.

Yep, cellular is dog slow. Switch to Wi-Fi and pop, all uploaded.

Obvs they are still tweaking the carrier settings and modem. Don’t normally see numbering like that.

That’s some serious fanboi copium right there.

You & I may not be needed to be reminded to wash our hands, but that feature exists because a significant number of people do. Apple wouldn’t bake in something without doing due research. Now, I don’t use this feature, much like yourself, but I’ve seen this gentleman report about this bug for a while now. One shouldn’t have to work around a feature as specific & simple as this one, especially for as long as this bug has persisted, that just shows a lack of attention to detail.

All good here on 13PM but I did just test with only one photo at a time. Okay just took 5 pics real quick and it’s suddenly extremely slow.

Sorry, worded that badly. What I meant to say was anybody that uses that feature will find that it no longer works and hasn’t since the release of iOS 15 and watchOS 8. Of course for those who don’t use it, will neither be affected nor will be even aware that Apple have screwed it up.

Well this post was totally in jest. Not suggesting Apple gets a pass on any bugs in features they add and tout as game changing. So you can X the fanboi comment :) LOL. But this is certainly in no way a major bug they need to stop the presses to address because everyone is affected.

No worries! This was meant to be in jest. I get where you are coming from.

I never said it was a major bug, I just said something as simple as this should work.
Yeah I said it's not a major bug. (not you or even Stumpy) Meaning that they most likely have more pressing issues to look into than this, that's all. Its all good. Sorry if my humor ruffled any feathers. Hopefully iOS 15.9.17.4 should resolve all these remaining issues just before iOS 16 drops.

Heads-up if you have one of the latest-gen iPad Pros (12.9" 5th gen, 11" 3rd gen) — this is highlighted in the beta 2 release notes:

Important

iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation) and iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation) can only update to iPadOS 15.4 beta 2 from iPadOS 15.4 beta 1.

It doesn't say what will happen if you try to update directly to 15.4 beta 2 from, say, 15.3, but you probably don't want to find out the hard way.

Addendum: literally the very first bullet point after the notice:

General

Known Issues

  • iPad Pro 12.9-inch (5th generation) and iPad Pro 11-inch (3rd generation) won’t be able to update to iPadOS 15.4 beta 2 via IPSW; this issue will be resolved in a later release.

Indeed, there are no IPSW downloads for those two iPad Pro models — looks like it's OTA or nothing.

Reminder: Go and wash your hands.

There you go. We can all help out. ??

I am thinking about jumping on the beta train again, but I've been scared off by some reports of bad reception and slow cellular data performance.

Does anyone here have slow data performance on 4G/5G with 15.4 beta 2? Or is it only related to iCloud Photos uploads as someone reported? Are voice and facetime calls stable?

Somehow AirPlay or whatever it is called to get my iPhone / iPad screen to show up on my Apple TV does no longer work, neither does sharing video. It only plays the audio and when I tap the icon in the control center without playing a video, it randomly starts playing music from literally somewhere (my old Apple Music library? I do not even have the Music app installed) instead of sharing my screen. Already rebooted all devices multiple times.
