Does anyone have Safari crashing when you try to type a web address in? It only happens on my iPad Pro, 5thGen. So I've resorted to using Chrome for now. But it has been crashing since day 1 of the first beta release.
So far I have only tested 15 on an ipad air 2, and I have the crashing in Safari as well. It is quite frequent.

Anyone seeing that you can’t organize CarPlay apps? I’ve tried, but it just resets to some random organization. Hopefully that’ll be fixed. I did put in feedback for this.

It’ll be fixed by the time PB gets released 😁
I am not too worried about it. I installed 15 on the ipad for a reason, it's not my "primary" device, haha. Can be easily mitigated by using any 3rd party browser if it gets too annoying for the time being. There is a reason 15 is currently only "DEV BETA" haha

Might install all the public betas on all my primary devices 😳😂 didn’t run into any issues last year. 🤔

Using iPhone 12 256GB, before installing iOS 15 beta 1 home setting capacity available is 219GB, now it became 181GB left. No increase of photos or videos. Glitch or bugs ?!?!? Any1 same ?!?!?

I am debating it, but I probably won't jump as soon as it comes out to the PB channel. I will probably wait and see what early adopters report as far as issues first, haha.

If you look at the storage usage, what does it say? I am going to bet it is either "other" or "system" that has expanded. If so, this is not uncommon, and also occurs in public production builds. Typically, these categories serve as "system used files" or swap along with cached data and other things. They are designed to rise and drop automatically. Right now, my values on 14.4.2 are as followed;

System: 7.26GB
Other: 9.4GB

System was not jailbroken for reference.

Anyone else gotten any resprings this beta? I’ve been getting them sporadically but weirdly it doesn’t fully lock my iPhone, it’ll go to the lock screen and allow me to unlock with Face ID. Can’t really complain since I’m not having to put on my passcode when it happens.

I agreed with you that my system data was over 40GB and ios was 8.17GB. These doesn’t happen when in iOS 11, 12, 13 and 14 beta software testing. Battery drainage also bad.

Anyone seeing this weird glitch where the location in the widget shows that one of your Find My contacts is the Atlantic Ocean? Needless to say, that is not accurate.

It's not uncommon for a beta to act this way, it is too hard to tell exactly why the system would do this. I would say that normally, connecting the phone to itunes(windows) or finder(mac) usually knocks the numbers down some. Might be additional logging, although 40GB is definitely excessive. Have you tried plugging the phone into a Computer to see if the numbers that you see in settings match what the computer sees?

I’ve had this same issue most of the day. Web Pages load excruciatingly slow, I check to make sure Private Relay didn’t turn itself back on, and there’s just no option for it anymore. Close settings, go back, and it’s there (and still off).
In my case, Private Relay is turning itself on all the time. Apple wants to hide me from someone 😂

Speaking of fancy animations, what happens if you turn on Reduce Motion in the Per-App Accessibility setting for Weather? Is it just a plain or gradient color background, or a static image of the weather effects? Thanks for checking.

This is a great find. My man!
I have reduce motion switched on by default globally, but now I can turn it back on for just Safari so I’m not screwing with any parallax effects on websites.

LOVE this. Feels like I’ve just installed a new beta. 👊🏼

Full motion and reduced motion. It also appears I swiped from My Location to my first saved tab and for once the GPS is correct.

Though I don’t know why anyone would turn it off in the first place.

• Makes me feel dizy when on my phone and walking with certain animations flying back into the dock.
• not that bothered by them.
• speeds your phone up
• saves battery

could go on… but won’t bore you.

I have Reduced Motion on (I've done this for as long as I can remember) because I hate phone animations. When I had jailbroken iPhones, I could eliminate them. When I had Android phones, I'd just enable Developer Options and get rid of them that way. I don't need apps blooming into view. Just open them instantly and be done with it. Mind you, this is just my two cents.

Thanks for the screenshots. I’ve never been a fan of animations in weather apps. To me, the animations are great to demo but day-to-day I want to quickly glance at the temperature & conditions. Lightning flashes & rain drops distract from using colors & motion in more meaningful ways like temperature graphs, radar maps, etc. Even in the screenshot, the grey “Partly Cloudy” text almost disappears into the grey clouds floating behind it.

WeatherLine does/did a great job of minimal presentation (especially the widget) - I’ll miss it when it goes offline next year. Same for DarkSky.
