cant wait for season 2 🤭

Thats right. iCloud the most annoying pain in the rear for years. Creates problems you never had and wont need.

Most favourite error message across devices for years now:

YMMV, but I’ve had no issues with iCloud for all my devices and been using it for years.

ATTENTION!!! 😆

GREEN TINT… is a hardware issue!
Not software! FACT!!!

Shocking that 99.9% of us were adamant about this for months, but were ignored by someone adamant it was software cos it was for the iPhone 11………….

I'm really hoping for a new beta today. The other quirks I've been able to deal with; Messages black screening/being unresponsive/crashing is both unbearable and getting worse.

Edit: The battery life is an atrocity. I've been off the charger for 3 hours and am now down to 64%. ON WIFI.

ANY green tint issues should be unilaterally tumble weeded from here on in!

So... imessage disappear bar baffles me, as its only just started to happen this late into B2, and the app I downloaded which coincided with this starting, I've since deleted... so who knows (@s2mike) how to fix this contagious virus. Apple will be calling us in for Jabs for it soon.😂

Is this beta getting progressively worse for anyone else?

- My battery life has plummeted from the toilet to the sewer system. The phone is almost always running hot.
- Messages will now crash after being left alone for a few minutes. The app will be unresponsive; if you close it and attempt to reopen, it's just a black screen. The only fix is to reboot.
honestly it has gotten worse

So this total bizarre. I was cutting the grass with my 12 PM in my left front pocket. After I was all done, I pulled my phone out and saw my sister and brother texted which made no sense. So I looked at my sister’s text and saw a map of my address in Maps. I thought she sent me a FB memory. Then I realized it was today. The text also said something which was odd. I texted her back. Then I looked at the other text from my brother. What was going on? My phone did an auto-dial to 911! The police cashed back but my phone never rang, I never got the text tones or vibrations from the other texts. I realized I also had to turn off the keep sending location.

as a side note, I have three emergency contacts: 1 sister and 2 brothers. Only one brother cared enough to check on me. I know who’s out of my will now.

So.. today I've got a bit of an App Store issue, it drained 80% of my battery.... and it went from 60% to 5% in two hours. Also, phone was hot AF Anyone else?

I've rebooted and now it's charging back but... damn!

Is anyone else having issues with in app purchases? I am able to successfully purchase anything once, but any subsequent times it says it’s already been purchased and will be restored for free, then says there has been an error and the purchase cannot be completed. Anyone else?

Guys of I install the public beta over my current ios 14 public beta, will I lose all my photos and settings?

OK. If I were to answer the question, would I get an answer. Or are you just being an annoying nerd!

Do at least an iCloud back up first. Then you should not lose anything as part of the upgrade to iOS 15 (The upgrade should maintain all of your current photos, apps and settings anyway). But, as others have said, if you have to ask this question then with all due respect you should not be on an iOS 15 beta, certainly not at this stage with it being so new.

As an aside, how about you leave out the insults?

Thanks StumpyBloke. Much appreciated.

Regarding the insults - I get so frustrated in here when folk come out with sarcastic, snidey, patronising comments. It happens all too often. My initial question was polite and friendly, and the follow up reply, was genuine and sincere where I mentioned I was already running a beta. The replies to both were neither.

But I do apologise :)

yeah but dude, come on, if you don’t know these very, very basic questions, you shouldn’t be playing around with betas. It’s voices of concern. If your phone bricks. it’s a little bit like going to buy a car and not knowing how to drive it.

no one’s insulted you. Not that I can see. In fact you’ve called out “ annoying nerd” that’s an insult if anything. Taking it all way to personally. 👍🏼

This is 100% correct.

Perhaps I was a bit harsh, but so many come to these forums all hot to use the betas to get their hands on the latest cool features and really don’t get that this is pre-release software. Because its Apple and they don’t want the bad press of releasing bad pre-release software, they go all out to make this as bug free as possible.

The key words in the last sentence of the preceding paragraph are “as possible”. It remains pre-release software and can and does cause issues with people’s devices.

When you asked the question in the way you did, it leads others to wonder whether you’ve thought through your motivation to participate in the beta program and your knowledge of both the beta program and how to get yourself back to safety without losing valuable data.

I’m not saying that all or even most participants in the beta program are doing it altruistically to assist Apple in the development process or learn the ins and outs of the new software to aid in the development of their own apps. But even for those non-developers / non-altruistic testers, it is assumed you understand the risks and how to mitigate them.

Among those risks is loss of data and photos.

So my point was that if you didn’t understand that that was an inherent risk to participating, then perhaps it was unwise for you to continue.

Selfishly, I get tired of reading posts from people who installed a beta, had something go wrong and then accuse Apple of messing up their device and then asking a million questions about how to restore their device to a previous version.
