iOS 15 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Yes, for me.. Initially everything was performing great, no resprings or app crashes. Then I'd say maybe Monday, when charging, it'd get super hot. Didn't matter if it was charging wirelessly, connected to my MBP, or just a power adapter. Also only seeing it charge to about 90% or so, give or take. Both Messages & Mail have been giving me the blank screen issue, too, along with the Photos app not uploading any new pictures added to my Library. A reboot fixes all these things for me, but seemingly only temporarily.

I almost forgot, I was getting my notifications hella late, and in batches, Tuesday and Wednesday.

The longer I am running beta 2.5 on my 12 ProMax and IPP 11 the more issues I am seeing from app crash, to screen freezing, to overheating (12PM), to wifi data issues (biggest complaint). A hard reboot will usually fix for a period of time but they come back.

Filing Feedback for these as they occur.

Yes. It is especially bad when using CarPlay. This means you're driving, so you have to make a note of the time so that Apple will know where to look.

It is very annoying but, well....beta....

Yes, I'm also having this issue while being connected via CarPlay.
 
About the new Safari:
Sorry if it’s a paranoid thing of mine - but for me, this new placement of the Safari URL bar opens a opportunity for pages to place a field on the same position to the users to type the URL address and send them to somewhere else (a phishing site, for example)…

EXACTLY. I've mentioned this a couple times as well, and am actually surprised that it hasn't been discussed further. I agree, malicious folks could just design their site's differently.

Getting my phone replaced today at apple for green tint, might have to jump off the iOS 15 beta train 🥺 unless they let me update new phone to iOS 15 and transfer everything over.

I’ve got a old backup think 14.5 on my Mac, will I have any issues restoring the new phone from that back up if it comes with 14.6?

Apparently you can’t restore from newer to older software.

Don’t want to hand in my phone and then not be able to restore from a back up on new device.

Once you own the phone, they don’t care what you do with it beta wise (as long as they don’t have to fix it). You can sit down, use their WiFi to download iOS 15 and have at it. You can always (well, within reason) restore from a backup from an earlier version of iOS. So you won’t have any problems restoring from the 14.5 backup, even on iOS 15.

They wouldn’t replace the phone, doing a screen replacement, couldn’t hang around for 1h30m, I’ll be going back in the next few days 👀📱🤦‍♂️

Thats right. iCloud the most annoying pain in the rear for years. Creates problems you never had and wont need.

Green tint better be gone, copped peak hour traffic on the way back 🤦‍♂️😡😂

Green tint is finally gone after getting screen replaced. 😃

Greys actually look grey now and not vomit green. 😍

This screen looks more tasty than the fish and chips with mashed peas that @Pearslikethefruit was eating at his local pub while watching the semi final. 👌😍

Mate ever since my contacts names kept disappearing and reappearing when they felt like it, I stopped using iCloud, backing up to my Mac instead.

Smooth sailing getting the backup back on my phone after my screen replacement, the lovely people at apple installed the latest iOS 14.6 software after replacing my screen, no need to go into dfu mode when I got home thanks to them. 😊

This new screen is so much better, it feels like I’m using a iPhone 20 😜👌😂
