iOS 15 Beta 2 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

This doesn’t work in satellite view on my phone. I have to choose explore view then swipe with 2 fingers, and once 2D icon shows I can switch back to satellite view and be in 3D.

Also, In this 3D “satellite” view tapping the now visible 2D icon only changes angle to look similar to satellite view instead going back to true satellite view which is usually more up to date with construction & so on. I have to quit maps and restart it to get back to true satellite view.

I do like that maps is keeping my selection of using satellite view as a default instead of having to constantly switch to it (at launch it still quickly shows explore view before changing to satellite), but for now in beta using satellite view and wanting to look at something 3D and then back to regular satellite view is just kind of a pain.


I also don’t see why the maps used with Find My and Messages still doesn’t allow tapping business icons to see what they are. It would come in handy at times instead of having to open the actual maps app like when my wife messages asking if we want something to eat or something that might usually be at a specific store i can’t find out exact what’s around her at the moment in messages map and have to tap i and then open in maps to be able to tap icons and get info. In Find My i have to open Messages thread and then follow that process or if i quickly recognize area then just open maps and find area.

Getting exactly the same... on both my 12PM and MacBook Air.
 
Just joined the beta train with my old 2016 SE, since it's a test device for now on.
So far no issues to report, but I'm surprised how smooth it runs. It still has the original battery and I was expecting some stutters but the SE doesn't seem to have any stutters or slowdowns.
Battery itself might take a hit, but I'm not using the phone a whole lot, plus it'll get better later on (expecting at least).

Modem Firmware on my SE updated to: 11.00.00
KPN NL Carrier Version updated to: 46.7.10

Anyone having issues with messages app. It’s constantly freezing up for me. Also it opens up with blank screen at times.

Have always had my apple music library downloaded on my phone, and came to find out that it was all deleted while on a flight.. sigh. Have never had this issue before so I'm guessing it happened with beta 2.
 
Getting very, very bad stutter on my car's MB Bluetooth audio for both Youtube and Spotify. It will work fine for a few minutes then crap out and stutter for a few seconds and then be fine and continue to do this every few minutes. Anyone else experiencing this?
 
Is everyone experiencing Proximity Sensor issues? I mean, it does not work at all when trying to listen to audios, it always plays the audios on speaker.

I experienced this a lot on Sunday connecting to my work’s Bluetooth stereo. Had to switch Bluetooth off and on again to try and get it to reconnect and it still did the same thing. Eventually I just gave up
 
One thing that bothers me on the new Photos App memories is that now is very difficult to get to one of the original photos used on the slideshows created by the app. Or at least I’m not getting the new way of doing this. On iOS14, one click on the current photo during the slideshow paused it and you could select it. Now it kinda selects the photo, but you can’t go to the original one.

Anyone having issues with playing videos in safari? I’ll be playing a video and if I hit the 15sec forward or scroll the time it stops playing even if the video is loaded. I had a similar issue when iOS 14 beta was released on my iPhone X. I am on a iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Yes…mentioned…easiest fix is to change video speed and then change back again. Nothing else works for me (other then painfully watching complete videos) :(

Anyone know how to see all square tabs on the iPad like you can on iPhone when you hit the 2 squares in the bottom on the iPhone?. Seems like the iPad doesn’t have that view to where you can see all your open tabs all at once and have scroll at the top instead. I’m hoping it’s a bug
 
#1 Have been having issues with Mail this morning.
When I use Edit to delete several emails, on clicking Trash the app crashes. Going back into Mail shows the emails were deleted. Going to try a reboot and Hard reboot to se the effect. Happening for GMail and iCloud accounts.

#2 Was taking the time to write reviews on a couple of apps and found the following message coming up:
"This feature isn't available. You can't write reviews while using a prerelease version of iOS."
I don't remember seeing this before.

#3 Have had the "Private Relay Temporarily Unavailable ..." alert come up on the lockscreen.
A reboot appears to make Private Relay available.

Safari on the new 12.9” iPP is complete garbage. Sometimes you can’t scroll, sometimes pages don’t load. Not sure if it’s the iPad or the Magic Keyboard.

I’ve had #2 happen before during previous iOS iterations. Haven’t noticed any issues with mail and I’ve had #3 happen only when I’m experiencing a bad connection like at work.

I am on the first Public Beta of iPad OS 15. Working off of the new M1 12.9” iPad Pro.

Noticed a lot of instances where loading webpages gets bottlenecked whether on WiFi or with an Ethernet connection (with WiFi turned off). Complete slowdown on loading websites. Not constant, but constant enough.

Has anyone noticed website loading issues with this beta? I want to make certain this is software related issue and not with my brand-new iPad purchase.

Try doing a reply in YouTube in landscape.
Check out the bottom right in Messages - sometime the onscreen keyboard selector is below the icons, sometimes on top.
In Safari landscape the keyboard selector is in the middle covering content.
There are a number I have found that change with the MK attached.
