Not sure just what was fixed in beta 7 but it appears to be a step back for some things.

Can we say “Beta 8”?

Sure you can.
Yes please, doesn’t seem as fluid as beta 6 .. for me everything seems laggy and and takes a while for apps to open.. yes hard reset has happen a few times..also notifications are hit and miss now with a few off my apps. Also after waking up and walking around my watch wont ask if I want to turn off sleep mode.. seems like watch and phone need a another beta

The name of the file is somewhat misaligned on some photos in the info panel in the photos app. This does not happen on all photos, and this bug was present on b6 as well.

Siri no longer reports Apple Watch’s battery level nor AirPods battery levels. She also is not able to toggle transparency mode and/or noise cancellation mode any longer.

Got a safari-bug in B7. On the startpage, frequent visited pages just disappeared. Didn’t change any settings at all.
Anyone else?

Has anyone here seen an issue where the user receives a text/iMessage but notifications don’t trigger on screen? This has happened at least twice for me when I receive a text from another apple user(Not actually SMS). The notification either did not appear at all or it did on the Notification Center but not on screen. Don’t recall this on a previous beta.

god that is a ball ache.
So weird that fixed the battery drain though. Bazaar.

good to know though.

It’s not that unusual. Same thing with resetting Windows to get better performance. As you update old stuff hangs around because OSes are notoriously bad at cleaning up after themselves. Some settings may be toggled off but actually are on in the OS, redundancies that zap battery power, etc. I always do a full reset whenever I install the final release I just wasn’t ready to go through that hassle. I mean it’s my fault for having 19 credit cards that makes it so complicated to factory reset but I like my cash back. Lol.

Battery is crap on beta 7 !!!! Not even getting a full day on 12 Pro Max.. ridiculous. Beta 6 I could have gone 2 days

6 15 screen on time and. 2 45 off. 14 % battery left .. going to ru n it out and hope tomorrow gets better
Seems like something is chewing up the battery in the background.

At least your carrier hasn’t turned your phone into a iPod, can only receive calls from people on the same network. 🤦‍♂️

Giving them a few more days before I lodge a complaint and take them to the ombudsmen. 🥊

Where they will promptly tell you you’re running a beta!

(And I know you are just kidding…sort of!)

Thats crazy.. carriers suck.. its Facebook for my issue 35 percent usage and not even on it hardly today and safari was 26% so I need to figure out what’s happening

Beta has nothing to do with it, sim replacement didn’t fix it, also tried my SIM card in 2 different phones running the latest iOS 14.7, clearly a carrier issue.

Beta has nothing to do with it,

Betas scare people. I took my laptop in to Apple recently to look at a keyboard backlight issue. They told me they'd first need to delete Monterey and re-install Big Sur before they'd look at it. I told them I'll come back when Monterey is officially released :) I've got 9 months of warranty left, so no rush.

Yep, same thing happened to me when I got my screen replaced for green tint, they wouldn’t touch it unless they uninstalled iOS 15, they treat these betas like they’re android. 😬🙄🤦‍♂️
