iOS 15.3 RC runs pretty good for me on iPhone 12 Pro. Still some problems with Safari, AppStore, Spotlight and touch issues but nothing major.
I guess hold out hope that Apple will fix the touch registration/ghosting with iOS 15.4. Kind of annoying bug but not a show stopper for me.

Exactly, I've had the same amount of bugs on 15.2.1 as I did on 14.8.1... Some of my bugs were fixed when I updated to iOS15 but a a few more appeared.. All minor and none has made a big difference in usability.. Would I prefer absolutely no bugs, hell yes but I've experienced bugs in EVERY version of iOS from 6 to 15 and I know a bug free OS is not possible when you release a new version yearly. iOS15 has performed well for me.

Since owning my launch day 13 Pro Max, the only real issue I have had is the touch registration/ghosting issue. I do think Apple could greatly improve the quality of their software if they did not release a new major version of iOS every year.

ATTN PEOPLE THAT LIVE WHERE IT'S SNOWING RIGHT RIGHT

Is the snow animation in the weather app kind of stuttery/laggy for you? If you don't live where it's snowing, add Washington DC and let me know if the snow animation is smooth or if it's kind of stuttery looking. Thanks.
On my 13 Pro Max, iOS 15.2.1.

I updated my iphone X to 15.2.1 and pinch to zoom still does not work consistently. I called the apple support. The man said

  • threads like this or macroumors or reddit are not relevant to apple
  • restore the iphone via dfu
  • if the problem then still occurs, it is a hardware problem, because this problem is not listed at apple.
  • he refused to register my problem and and did not report it to apple
in other words apple does not accept software problem reports from users.
Pinch to zoom not working is super annoying. Been broken since 15 & don’t get how it’s still not fixed

Most likely update iOS 15.3 also did not solve the problems with stuttering of the user interface. At least that's how it is on my iPhone XR. Who has any improvements?

iOS 15.4 beta seems to have a lot of changes in it including animation/framerate fixes on iPhone 13 devices. I wonder if it's any better on older devices as well.

15.3 actually feels like the 120Hz on the 13 Pro/Max feels a bit soother. Others are reporting the same. It feels good to see Apple concentrating on improving iOS under the hood.

Someone has already tested the iOS 15.4 Beta, are there any improvements for the iPhone XR/XS? Are there animation freezes?

But for some reason it feels like there will be no improvements. We were also deprived of a new feature with unlocking an iPhone without a mask. Everything pushes us to go and buy a new iPhone.?

Maybe, there's still a chance it could come to older devices as well. They still sell the iPhone 11 and no iPads have it either.

After running it for a bit, it definitely does feel like a bit of an improvement in terms of smoothness and animations. iOS seems more robust in this build.

I think indexing might be finished because this is the first day my battery hasn’t been draining a bit quickly lol.

We’ll see in the next few days what’s up with battery.

What is your iPhone?

Are you on 15.3 or 15.4?

I am on iOS 15.4 and it runs very smooth. Starting believe that this update is what we wanted.

EDIT: After 12 hours of use lags are back. Nothing changed. :(

My XS max pinch to zooms fine on 15.3.
