first time I bought iphone (13 mini) and im really dont like the performance. Micro-lags not everytime but are everywhere. Minimizing app; when rolling screen there is often twitches. Even rolling to widget screen there is always microlag. Safari is just slow. Last gen iphone .. may be this takes some getting used to. Next time i will buy android smartphone. Almost 100%.
I dont know how it works on iOS 14, im sure that pretty same

Would you try to enable dark mode and see if that helps?
It looks like it's helping on my XS on 14.8 (that sometimes has frame drops)

Stutters were back with 15.1. Just turned follow focus OFF.
First impressions are good so far. I'm waiting for 15.2, though.

So guys, the situation with freezes iOS 15.1 remained the same for everyone? Didn't it get better? Nobody found a solution to this problem?

This is the first time I have encountered such a problem with freezes on iOS. I have been using an iPhone for 9 years, never before have there been such freezes or lugging in iOS. Very strange.

Looks like its a "pro motion" thing. When you swipe images in app store - they stutter, and are fine when it adapts. Kinda same with opening apps. When you open same app multiple times it's temporary fine.
I using 15.1 on my 13 Pro Max and I don’t experience any stutters. Buttery smooth.

iPhone 13 Mini can’t run iOS 14.

I am using iOS 15.2 on iP12 Pro and yes there is little chage but I am not sure if it's iOS change or apps were updated.

Many app developers has to optimize their apps for new animation core.

https://developer.apple.com/documentation/quartzcore

On Apple dev forum lot's of developer issuing problems with calling core animations. Some of old callings now requiring calling with parametrs to work properly.

We are using different apps soo it can cause different behave.

Last update of Things app resolve some problems with home screen slowdowns for me. I am using their widget.

The slowdowns are happening on stock apps too, like safari.

There are animations issues that affect even iPhone 13 Pro, with certain things being locked to 60FPS. They said they'll be fixing that, so they could still be working on an optimization update to address all of this stuff.

I have disabled the animations because of the battery life and the bad performance. It’s not even better. It’s still sluggish and laggy.

Hey there,

My XS feels overall sluggish and slower since I updated to iOS 15. Typing feels somewhat laggy, the animation of going from locked screen to main screen drags a bit, the gesture to expose all open apps sometimes gets a bit ‘stuck’, etc.

Anyone else experiencing this? I’ve had the new iOS for a week now.
Cheers
Be curious to note if you ever replaced the battery and if so how recently?

I’m on a iPhone 13 pro max and it seems less smother than my previous 12. I really hope it’s just a iOS issue and that 15.2 fixes most of the stutter issues
