Apple has seeded developers with macOS 12.1 beta 1. It comes as Apple has slated the launch of Universal Control and SharePlay as coming “later this fall.”

From what I’ve seen in the 12.1 B1 thread, the references that were there have been removed, so it looks like UC could be iOS 15.3 & MacOS 12.2. Both could still come by end of year.
Or, UC comes in 15.3/12.1 Beta 2…..
Usually we see emoji in the November iOS update, that pops up in B2 tho usually, don’t it? My memory is spotty about that.
I do not remember now if on other occasions, new features have been introduced in the second beta of an intermediate version of iOS
I was right, 13.2 had new emoji in Beta 2. We've seen features enabled in later betas before, tho can't think off hand which. Maybe we will see it.
Either UC comes in a later beta and the final release of 15.2 is by mid December, or 15.2 has a short beta window, releases in 3 weeks & we get 15.3 with UC, and an expected release by the week before Christmas at the latest.
Has to be either of these, as Apple said UC will be coming by Late Fall.
emojis is not something that needs many beta tests to be released, they can perfectly launch them and without using the betas. Everything will depend on the second beta, so we only have to wait to see if they launch it next week or return to the usual two-week cycle between the first and second beta. from apple to today you can expect anything hehe
UC was around for a part of 15.0/12.0 beta, so it's had some testing. Beta 2 is either next week or the one after, and we're likely to have 4-6 weeks of testing.
I was just mentioning the emoji, as it falls into something new brought into the betas after Beta 1.
Possibly, definitely before Christmas. Seeing as there's not a lot in it, personally I wouldn't be surprised if it's sooner than the end of November, with 15.3 by Christmas. Shockingly being optimistic at the moment.

iOS 13 and 14 got their X.3 version before Christmas. But for the time that there is, and a novelty like universal control will require polishing the function very well, so I think that in the next beta of this 15.2 we will see more news. I do not see possible that in a month they launch a version with little change, and use less than a month to test one of the star functions of this version. that, or they fail to comply and delay the launch of what is missing from ios 15 to next year.
The Apple website still says UC I’d coming late fall, which Apple treats as being until mid December.
That means either it’s coming in 15.2 Beta 2 or later, or 15.2 gets a short beta period & 15.3 beta period & then release to public is by mid December.
