Good morning everyone!

Happy Monday! Hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween. It has been a while since I've posted in here. I've been busy with the pre-order launches. Finally catching up with some time now :)

It's almost November. I have a feeling we might see iOS 15.2 before the year 2021 finishes. Perhaps, we might expect to see some updates this week?

I hope everyone is going to have a good month and a good work week :) Thanksgiving is just around the corner.

So beta 2 is expected after 1 week by tomorrow, or will it have a two week cycle for beta 2 release next week.

The Apple website still says UC I’d coming late fall, which Apple treats as being until mid December.

That means either it’s coming in 15.2 Beta 2 or later, or 15.2 gets a short beta period & 15.3 beta period & then release to public is by mid December.
I do not see feasible that there is material time for two different versions to be tested. If you want to launch a hypothetical ios 15.3 with universal control the week of December 15, until then there are 7 weeks. I suppose that the universal control will require a little more time to be tested, but what is clear is that if your plans are to launch it in ios 15.3, we will have betas every week until almost Christmas. but if there is no beta this week, ios 15.2 will be the one that incorporates it in a future beta, the second surely.

I could see 2 weeks IF a big feature like UC is added in the next beta (or 2). If not, this will be a one week beta turnaround, with a release before Thanksgiving here in the US.
I don’t think UC is coming with 15.2. I think Monterey 12.1 will focus on SharePlay, as iOS 15.1 did. Then 12.2 might enable UC which would correspond to iOS 15.3. But, as stated earlier, it seems like there’s not enough time by the end of the year to release both iOS 15.2 and 15.3. Time will tell.

I wonder if we are going to get 15.1.1 or if we go right to 15.2 when released? One has to think a security need will arise before 15.2 unless it's a real short beta cycle.

Well, we saw iOS 14 have releases in September, October, November & December for 14.0, 14.1, 14.2 and 14.3.... So it's possible.

If UC is not in 15.2, then it could easily be a short testing period, as there's not much in it at the moment that needs to be a long testing period, thus 15.3 can be beta then release before Christmas.

with tomorrow being election day, you think we could see beta 2? I'm guessing wednesday will be the day but you never know.

Yes, but ios 14.1 was released without beta, as beta 14.2 was released directly, so it may not be one of the most suitable versions to take as a reference. but if possible, it is possible that they do so, but that would mean weekly betas until Christmas, because there is not much time.

I would say Wednesday mostly because B1 hasn't been out a week yet until Wednesday. So IF they are going to be weekly updates already that probably wont start until at least then.

15.2 beta 1 had a ton of issues, so I wouldn't be surprised at a two week wait (a week from today) for 15.2 beta 2.

It was the first beta I actually rolled back from in a LONG time. And believe me I usually don't do that unless it's really bad because it requires a whole big restore from backup and takes hours.

Gonna probably sit 15.2 beta out and just upgrade when the release version comes out.

I believe this will be a 2 week cycle and they will add a few new things in beta 2 like UC and emojis that we all love lol
