They have stopped signing it for all devices, otherwise you would be able to downgrade an iPhone X from 15.2 beta to 15.1. Which you cannot, as per the article I quoted.

People in this thread were saying it was stopped signing for 12 & 13's only, which is not true.
The 9 to 5 article is wrong, or at least badly worded. 15.1 is still available and signed for all devices that support it, other than the iPhone 12 and 13. It is on the release page of the dev portal and it’s what will be loaded onto a device that goes through the restore process. I did this today with an iPhone 11 Pro that had been on the latest beta.

Hmmm, we've got an iPhone 11 in our testing group, that won't downgrade to 15.1 from 15.2, according to my colleague, and it was chalked up to it not being signed anymore.

Testing the option to download the version of 3utools without losing my data, using the ipsw of ios 15.1 I was able to install it without problem on my iphone 11 pro. This article is very poorly explained from what I see. Also, in ipsw.me I get both ios 15.1 for devices prior to iphone 12 and 15.1.1 for the higher ones in green, with which they continue to sign for what it seems.

iOS 15.1.1 was only released for iPhones 12 and 13 as those were (per the update notes) the only models affected by the call drop issue. The current version for all other iPhone models that support iOS 15 is 15.1, which is still being signed by Apple for those devices.

Ergo, as pointed out by robohunter, the 9to5Mac article is only correct for iPhone 12 and 13 series devices.

Just out of curiosity, did they try restoring it (from either recovery or DFU mode, so the system downloads the latest available public release instead of whatever it is currently running) to see what version it restored to?

Yea, error message. I don’t know what it said, they said it has to be to not being signed, but others in this thread are contradicting, so who knows.

From my point of view, this update is really necessary, because iOS 15.1 is horrible, battery problems, with some applications and many other bugs, as the thumbnails of the photos in the Photo application are really blurry. From what I read on the forums, others have many other issues, which we hope Apple has consulted, where complaints / grievances have been made. Until iOS 15.1 I thought I had made a very good deal, migrating from Android to iOS, but after this update ... I think I feel some regrets after Android ... I hope things will go well for IOS 15.2

Why do I feel this is the state of iOS lately …hoping for something today sending positive vibes
