That's also a reminder to those who were saying that they would release a new beta faster because of auto brightness bugs...3-week beta cycles are hardly unprecedented — hell, iOS 14.4 went a full four weeks between betas 1 and 2.
Methinks everyone got spoiled by the weekly 15.1 betas and forgot that not every release follows the same cadence. Remember: Apple's schedule, not ours.
4pm releases happen VERY rarely.4pm EST.
I think that if we don't have a release this week, next week we will have a final release directly, without RC.
Apple may surprise us and actually release 15.2 to the public tomorrow. No RC.I'm doing with something tomorrow, probably RC, final next week.
Possibly, especially with 15.1 no longer signed.Apple may surprise us and actually release 15.2 to the public tomorrow. No RC.
Why are people saying iOS 15.1 isn’t signed anymore? It’s correct that iOS 15.1 isn’t signed for iPhone 12 and 13 series, but it’s still signed for every other device supported. iPhone 12 and 13 got 15.1.1 which still is signed so I don’t get why Apple not signing two versions of iOS for a device is a sign. Apple usually doesn’t sign more than one version of iOS.
Apple on Tuesday stopped signing iOS 15.1, which means that users who updated their devices to iOS 15.1.1 or iOS 15.2 beta can no longer downgrade to iOS 15.1
Current public release, yes.iOS 15.1.1 is only available for iPhone 12 & 13. For all other devices 15.1 is still the current release
You said: Apple have stopped signing iOS 15.1 absolutely. We said: not true.Current public release, yes.
You're missing out on my point, which I quoted from 9to5mac, about 15.2 beta..... It states those on that cannot downgrade to 15.1. Only the 12 & 13's can downgrade from beta, to 15.1.1
They have stopped signing it for all devices, otherwise you would be able to downgrade an iPhone X from 15.2 beta to 15.1. Which you cannot, as per the article I quoted. You said: Apple have stopped signing iOS 15.1 absolutely. We said: not true.
