Wasn't this door locking only for the 12 & 13 series. Since they were placed on iOS 15.1.1? Everything else can still access 15.1 if i'm not mistaken. Most likely a beta today and the RC shortly after (next week) like last year around this time.
15.1 is no longer signed at all, so no downgrading to that (Which only the 12 & 13 had 15.1.1 to downgrade from) Which means a new build for all devices is coming.

Apple is running out of time with these fall features. Not only UC but this too.

Another feature said to launch “later this fall” is support for Room keys in Wallet.

Being Dec 1st if it’s not in 15.2, they will all be delayed till 2022…
UC is already in Monterey, it’s just hidden, so I suspect it’s in iPadOS 15.1 too in the same way. Meaning that they can unlock it with a new build.

Since Monterey shows that UC is tagged as a beta feature, in the same way as iCloud private relay, I would not be surprised to see RC or Public release of 15.2 that opens UC Beta to all in that way.

The website still says Later in the autumn/fall for UC, so they have less than 3 weeks before it slips past that.

Room keys in wallet could be more of a server side thing, or just something that they didn’t feel needs to be part of the Dev beta & just enable it for public release.

Got to remember that last week Apple were basically on holiday apart from frontline/operational staff so there was always going to be a bit of a gap/delay especially if the next release is RC.

I think that if we don't have a release this week, next week we will have a final release directly, without RC.

3-week beta cycles are hardly unprecedented — hell, iOS 14.4 went a full four weeks between betas 1 and 2.

Methinks everyone got spoiled by the weekly 15.1 betas and forgot that not every release follows the same cadence. Remember: Apple's schedule, not ours.
