I know, hence if they have to incorporate it they will need a longer beta cycle in ios 15.4 ??‍♂️
Not directly related to your post but thought that I’d mention, I have given up on UC. I remained excited for UC during the second half of 2021 and the delay just removed my interest. I used to have a M1 MacBook Air, M1 Mac Mini and an M1 12.9 in iPad Pro. This combination would have been ideal for UC.
In late December 2021, I traded the MacBook Air and the Mac Mini and got a M1 Pro 16in MacBook Pro. So now the combination is the new MacBook Pro and the iPad Pro. No longer feel the need for UC since the external display (used with Mac mini) connects directly to the MacBook Pro.
I think the UC fad will hit its peak when it arrives and then dissolve just as fast. At least for me.

That's nice, but not everyone has your setup. In addition, I think you are thinking of it like "SideCar+", i.e., a display extender, which is only a fraction of what it promises. .I, for one, am eager for it. There are a lot of times I need to get something moved between my Mac and my IPP and this would make it much easier. Or cutting and pasting something from the Mac to the iPad (yes, I know you can use handoff to do this, but doing it directly will be much easier). Most of what it will deliver can be done now, but kludgily. This should be a much improved user experience (emphasis on "should").

Completely agree with you on the statement that UC has a lot more to offer than simply extended displays. The one thing that I was excited for is the ability to use each device individually and thus saving resources on one common machine which is the case when using exthermal displays including SideCar. I understand UC’s benefits and for the most part understand its complexity as well. I am simply stating that I have lost the excitement level that I once had for it.

Agree 100%. That's the danger of announcing and not shipping on time.

Beta 3 this week

RC next week

Are we in weekly’s though…

I think this is right. Maybe a beta 4 next week. The key is they need to have 15.4 in beta by about 2/15 to have enough time to release by an event around 3/29. That should give enough time for 4 betas and an RC (assuming a 2 week spacing between betas 1 and 2 and 1 week thereafter.

the beta 2 in general lines is very stable and in autonomy it behaves in an excellent way. the only problem is the high consumption of system data, which as soon as two weeks is fine, as suddenly it gets out of control, as it is happening to me now. but I think that no beta will solve it, because it has been like this since the launch of ios 15 haha

I've posted something that may help back on the Beta 2 forum to keep this uncluttered for our blind guess work.

I'll take a look at it tonight, because it's something that has me fascinated. It goes from occupying 3gb to 10gb without doing anything, the last time it happened at dawn, while I was sleeping xD

It would be strange for Apple to extend the beta cycle of a version without any remarkable novelty that much. but with today's apple, anything is possible i guess

I wonder if this gap represents the possibility of jumping to the RC next week. I am hearing good things about beta 2, so maybe that is why we haven't seen a beta 3 this week.

I have seen in the RC thread that the build is 19D49, and the beta 2 is 19D5040e, the RC seems to be an older build than the beta 2, doesn't it?
