the answer will be same as to why they are internally several builds ahead of the beta versions released to us.
why can't they suffice being ahead one beta from the releases to us.
 
People giving up already. lol. We've had releases up to 3 hours from now a few times. Patience people! If not in next 3 hours, then tomorrow.

I did say it could be sooner, I was just playing it safe in my guess ?

We could both be right if they don’t release 15.3 in the next few days!

Yeah, given the volume and certainty being bandied about, I'd say Apple tipped off certain influencers that it was coming today. May still come or we see a RC2 today/tomorrow if something significant went wrong.

I haven't had issues with iOS 15.3. My point was that if they make us wait longer than usual, it would make sense for the to release a newer build. What I care the most is the Music app on Monterey, it still has issues, so I hope a newer build will fix some of them.
 
I don’t see them releasing a release version with a build number higher than the RC. If they need to do that, we’ll likely see RC2.
