iOS 14.4 and 13.3.1 were both released on tuesdays.

Tuesday is probably the most frequent day of the week for releases. Here, though, we had what I suspect was either a leaker or Apple itself tipping today as the day and the need to get a fix out for the Safari data leak issue. So those thinking it was today were not necessarily out in left field.

N.B. for our Vulcan friend, “left field” is a portion of a baseball field here in the US and the term “out of left field” denotes something or someone that is away from the main situs of action, i.e. out of touch or wrong.

My wish list? Material Design. Notifications that work. AI that works. Easier access to service menus. Ooops....I've just about asked for Android there, everything bar the chaos of the Play Store and having to give up the convenience of shared apps and integrated cloud support between Mac and phone.

And a question. Do we get meaningfully better privacy in return for effectively deprecating AI on iPhone? I hope that's a question people are thinking about. It would be a particularly bitter joke if we were not.

Right now, two months into my first ever ownership of an iPhone, the business case for iPhone feels to me like the hardware, not the software. I suppose given Apple's background that's to be expected but they really have some catching up to do on user experience.

Not sure this is the right thread for your post.

Apple breaking their standard of 15.x released on a Monday!

Tuesday then.
It looks like they delayed 15.3 release due to various issues still in RC. Update file is also quite big, which may due to it covers lot of aspect of the OS.

I suppose I will say it because of the weight of the RC by OTA since beta 3, but this has always been the case, I suppose that if you want to leave the beta program, you can do it right now and not need to restore the phone.

Check users experience here.

I don’t think it works that way.

For one, we don’t know whether 15.3’s release was, in fact, delayed. We are basing our speculation that it was on the number of outlets that claimed it was to be released yesterday. But we don’t know that because Apple didn’t tell us so.

Second, a public release of a point update is always going to be a large download. Essentially, you are reinstalling the entire OS. So you can’t read anything into the download size about how much of the OS is “impacted” by the update.

I’m off for a nap and I’m going to dream about a bug free iOS surrounded by loads of hot Angels ?

But realistically, hope the final 15.3 release gets dropped in that time and maybe a build change for extra Tuesday excitement ??.

Something is releasing today. Can’t see Apple waiting over a week between RC and release. If they have delayed it they need to get RC2 out today. I can see release today or tomorrow, then 15.4 next week
