*If* the event is next Tuesday, I see RC on Thursday this week and final release immediately after the event.

I just don’t see there being any new features on any device that would preclude the RC from being available pre-event.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think so

Serious question: has that always been the case in Tapatalk (that gifs can’t be displayed in-line)? Or is that a product of the general state of disarray in that app?

I think that’s right. And I don’t think it was always this way. I suspect that its related to Tapatalk’s issues these last several weeks. They are probably trying to lower the server load by rendering these as links rather than in-line.

Yeah on plan with RC at the event next week but due to what’s happening who knows but I don’t think apple would skip an event due to conflict as products are ready to ship etc

I would not expect the invites to go out until 2/3pm Eastern.

But this all presupposes that an event is actually scheduled for March 8th. There will be a lot of leakers with egg on their face if the event was not really scheduled for that date.
