Even though Gurman said beta 5 will probably be the last "beta", a RC seed today wouldn't surprise me.

Edit: Actually I change my mind, iOS 14.5 RC was released the day of their "Spring Loaded" event last year.

Isn’t there always an RC these days?
Ever since 15.3, every one that had a beta period, had an RC.

I’m thinking that’s Apple’s new standard.

Therefore I’m going with RC on Tuesday after the event. I am thinking that the new devices will be shipped the 18th March, so iOS 15.4 public release will be between Tuesday 15th March and Thursday 17th March. Probably that Thursday.

Seems the most logical to me

Good morning, Folks!

Monday is upon us again. Hoping for the final RC to be out this Tuesday, following up with an official release to the public. I think @Ansath is spot on with his speculation.

This is going to be a very busy work week for all of us. Hope you are ready for it. Let's get it.

Sounds good to me. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a public release Tuesday after event, if Gurman is onto something, like the event date.

We shall see. 👍😜

P.s gagging for iOS 16 though.

I think that we will see an RC version, but of course, lately apple has insisted on getting out of the ordinary hahaha
On the other hand, Apple also broke the taboo of having high subversions in recent years, so I think we will see an ios 15.5, 15.6 or maybe even a 15.7 between now and the release of ios 16.

Are we expecting iOS 15.5 Beta this or next week? I'd say next week 👁

Next I reckon, for the snooze fest of releases before 16.

1st
• RC or Official release today.
• Would they 15.5 b1 Thursday 🤔
• Otherwise 15.5 b1 next Tuesday.

Or just change the last two bullet points accordingly if we see RC today.

2nd
• Official Release next Tuesday
• Follow by Tuesday after 15.5 b1

Second scenario would mean though we don’t see a new beta for 2weeks.

Although 15.5 will likely not be very interesting, its been very rare for there to be a time when there is no beta running for the current major release up to WWDC and the beta for the next major release.

So, I would expect that, as usual, we would see 15.5 b1 within a day or so of 15.4 being released publicly.

My guess at this point is 15.4 RC today and assuming the new phones/iPads are available for in store purchase on Friday, 15.4 public on Thursday and 15.5 b1 on Tuesday.

Longer range speculation: if the rumors are accurate that the new iPad Air will be running on an M1 chip, I look for more divergence between iOS and iPadOS than has been the case up to this point.

Considering the new equipment is probably going to be ready by Friday this week, I'd say we see a general release of 15.4 today after the event, no RC release. They're not going to release a major update a day before the release of more new products, regardless of whether they're on the same build or not. Apple almost always puts at least 3-4 days between OS release and hardware availability.

Yeah sounds, sound.
Just keeping everyone on their toes ?

Still excited to see the RC vs Official Release outcome today. See where Apples head has been at.
