What if they just skip beta 2 and go directly to Beta 3 / Public Beta 1 in two weeks?

But PB1 is typically DB2, right?

I'm thinking Tuesday, July 6 for DB2 (due to the holiday and most in the US are off Monday the 5th) with PB1 coming Thursday, July 8. If I remember correctly, initial PB's usually wait 48 hours after DB's for the first few updates.

Looking like next week for sure. I also believe they already have a set schedule for beta releases not based on current beta feedback/stability, so what could possibly stop them from releasing the beta schedule to all of us? Unless it really does constantly change, I don’t see another reason.

Apple doesn’t tell anyone anything. It’s really none of our business, truthfully.

I think our assumption of Apple having fixed schedule of release of betas has one flaw- it presumed that feedback on beta also has no effect on the release schedule.
if that be so, why at all should Apple take feedback on any beta. They should straightaway say that it is only for testing and customisation of third party apps and no feedback is required to be submitted for the betas themselves.

You do realize that the whole beta thing is for the benefit of Apple (for iOS development) and true developers (to help us create compatibility with the new iOS for our apps)... and NOT to be an "early access program" for thrill seekers suffering from FOMO... so, what Apple does and when Apple does it is totally within their purview... as my father used to say "it's a 'need to know' thing, and you just don't need to know".

Very true. Would be nice though, if we had a schedule given out to us. Only to stop all the craziness, but primarily, something as a paying developer has to look forward to.

I’d print it out tiled on A4 and cover a whole room in my house ?

This kind of statement is as illusory and childish as the opposite usually made by me (nothing today or will not happen today) which is always objected to by this forum members.
In that light, No one should say : it’s going to happen today.
As it’s a speculation thread, all guesses should contain one or more of the words- predict or speculate etc.
