This kind of statement is as illusory and childish as the opposite usually made by me (nothing today or will not happen today) which is always objected to by this forum members.
In that light, No one should say : it’s going to happen today.
As it’s a speculation thread, all guesses should contain one or more of the words- predict or speculate etc.
Settle down champ, it’s a speculation thread after all, what’s wrong with what she posted, absolutely nothing, lighten up a little. 🕺🏼💃😜

You do realize that the whole beta thing is for the benefit of Apple (for iOS development) and true developers (to help us create compatibility with the new iOS for our apps)... and NOT to be an "early access program" for thrill seekers suffering from FOMO... so, what Apple does and when Apple does it is totally within their purview... as my father used to say "it's a 'need to know' thing, and you just don't need to know".
I think the public beta is for Apple seeking feedback on the iOS’ bugs. The developer beta is for feedback in apps compatibility etc.

I think our assumption of Apple having fixed schedule of release of betas has one flaw- it presumed that feedback on beta also has no effect on the release schedule.
if that be so, why at all should Apple take feedback on any beta. They should straightaway say that it is only for testing and customisation of third party apps and no feedback is required to be submitted for the betas themselves.

You are making a couple of faulty assumptions:

1. beta feedback does not have to be implemented in the next succeeding beta

2. Developer and public feedback is a supplement to Apple’s own testing regime, not a primary source.

I think the public beta is for Apple seeking feedback on the iOS’ bugs. The developer beta is for feedback in apps compatibility etc.

Both betas (once we reach the public release phase) are identical.

Apple definitely wants developers to have a development target to code against. The goal is for developers to have functioning apps in place on or near the date the new version of iOS is released.

Feedback is, I believe, secondary, for both the Developer and Public programs. It supplements the findings of the likely millions of hours of simulated and real-time operation of the various iterations of the betas in Apple’s labs and with its employees. As important as the feedback you intentionally send, the diagnostic and logging info your phone sends automatically is probably more important, as it allows Apple to run statistical analyses on the software in real life use.

YES! that’s all that needs. Well written. ??

(I mean that purely in a well written way, not in a confrontational in your face buddy, way. Just to be clear to y’all)

I never said our feedback is the primary source for testing inputs. Neither is the feedback expected to be implemented on the succeeding beta. In fact it has rarely if ever at all happened thus.

But if what you say is correct, do we really gain anything by submitting logs and feedback. The feedback submitted by us with log files in this situation appears to be a futile exercise.

Actually it’s disappointing if our feedback on iOS bugs (not apps developed by the developers) are of no consequence. That’s perhaps the reason why many of the issues we discuss continue to persist for months together atleast.
