Shuuuuuuuu-unnnuh

Phone is fantastic on 15.4. I’m happy right where I am but further updates to 15 will hopefully only make things better.

Agree 15.4 is running very smoothly indeed.

Been a while between drinks though.

Can’t wait to see what 16 has to offer!

Zero expectations for me this year, so I don’t end up disappointed like year.

Exactly  been disappointed too many times whilst anticipating that “major redesign”

Especially with the work-from-home/covid crap, I don’t exactly think it’s wise to get one’s hopes up, and I don’t wanna see my besties in this thread crushed come WWDC :(

Doesn’t have to be a major redesign, small tweaks to the UI (icons, theme store, interactive widgets) would be a good start.

I’ll always have something to complain about. 😆

Finding it hard to complain with 15.4, it’s PURRINGGGG like a 8 week old kitty ready to leave the den.

Hopefully they break something in the next iOS release, then I’ll have something to whinge about. 😜

few news we will see from now on. iOS 16 I guess it will be a stabilization version, like iOS 14 was, with little new features.
but I think that iOS already needs to address the issue of storage and its sampling, because since iOS 13 it gets worse with each version. The occupation of space of System Data increasingly uncontrolled, as you enter to see the space used, apps appear and disappear. In storage it says that WhatsApp has data that occupies 1.18Gb, and in the app of only 200Mb, this difference is huge, and I can't find any reason for it. Apps that go from occupying 1Gb to 100Mb in seconds, and I have restored and this is still the same, so the system works like this. I think Apple should make internal modifications and corrections so that this stops happening, because if not, in iOS 16 they are no longer able to show you the total space occupied, so you want to know this, they will think of Cupertino.

I hear ya. Have you tried though deleting WhatsApp and reinstall?

Back up your chats first.
(just incase)

That and instagram are memory bee-arches, that I regularly every few months, delete and reinstall to clear cache and memory Miscalculations properly.

My dream would be now the features are all out, Apple leaves behind a solid polished version of 15 for people to enjoy and stay on. If and when, they want to go to iOS 16, they still have an amazing experience on their phones, and aren’t pressured to move on as soon as it’s out, “to fix things”

Which would mean, .5 .6 .7 till 16 would be bug fixing and improvements.

As Gurman said, 15.5 should be out around WWDC. And he got the release/build details for 15.4 correct so I am assuming his sources are good. Although we are probably still around 2 months from WWDC so it may be a bit premature for that update to go into the beta cycle.

Every year since 2017 Apple has put out a Pride band for the Watch around June time and the associated watch face has always come in an update which has been through the beta process. So that's probably one feature of 15.5.

I'd imagine we'll see updates soon for the new Studio Display to fix the webcam issues. I wonder how that'll work since its technically running iOS?

Don't get your hopes too high, guys. Given the situation that last year basically apple employees were working from home, you should know how iOS 16 is going to be:)
Unfortunately… if there is going to be major changes, everyone should strap in. I still have PTSD from the iOS 13 beta cycle o_O

bl00dy hell yeah. same. my thumb still shakes at the mention of that build.

B1 goes on, all banking apps fail. Brilliant. Call drops. Great. Or couldn't make a call. Even better.

All on my main device. What a dumb ass or ballsey, your call. 😂😆

yes, I do, but by the simple fact of having to do it, it means that there is a problem in iOS, that Apple does not know or does not want to fix. In Android I have never had to uninstall an app, because it has become a space hog, or if it does, the system has the option to clear the cache and goodbye problem. For problems like this, that the only solution is to uninstall the app, or the system if the problem is System Data, does not speak very well of iOS in terms of internal operation. And in this aspect I think nothing has changed since the first version. There are also many others that greatly tarnish the operating system. You have to ask for the madness of being able to put the icons on the desktop wherever you want, or being able to change the notification sound for each app, it must be a complex job, so that more than a decade later everything is still the same.
