Could be another way yes, with the Apple Music fixes that are already incorporated to the latest 15.5 beta build. I should not have to wait until memorial day. Its a paid service, after all.
15.5 is really quite stable at this point (except for the whole iPad Pro/Magic Keyboard/Apple Pencil thing [check the thread], which should hopefully get fixed today or tomorrow with beta 4). I’d suggest checking giving it a go unless on principle you are simply devoted to running public releases; Apple Music, in my experience, has been very reliable and relatively bug-free since the first beta of 15.5. :D

In your defense, I do think this is the right place as we are indeed speculating on the need for a hypothetical 15.4.2.

But I am done with this topic now. On to 15.5!
15.4.2 today... please (mainly to fix Apple Music, which is currently broken regarding albums playback)
You are correct...that's where it started I guess, but it did get a little off track. ;)

Having gone from 15.5 b3 last night and now on and using 15.4.1 since I woke, it’s feels a touch sluggish in safari moving around.

I’m hoping 15.5 b4 today helps that battery drain I was experiencing on my 12, which could be an isolated incident, or this brand new battery bitches ain’t going to be happy 😆😂

💯🥳

For the last 3 years Apple has released Pride bands for the Watch around the middle of May, and they all come with associated watch faces on the Apple Watch. So if that pattern is repeated we should see 15.5 drop around the week of the 16th.

So, are we expecting 15.5 before WWDC this year? Or along with it?
Per Gurman (who is pretty accurate), it'll come "around" WWDC. I'd say before, simply because (A) the length of time since 15.4 was released and (B) it'll get lost in the shuffle of iOS 16 (not that Apple may care).

I would say before, because that day the first betas of all the new operating systems will be released, and the servers will be saturated enough to load them with the release of a stable version. I bet a week before, and the first beta of a future iOS 15.6 a week after the event.
