The Upside Down
For the last 3 years Apple has released Pride bands for the Watch around the middle of May, and they all come with associated watch faces on the Apple Watch. So if that pattern is repeated we should see 15.5 drop around the week of the 16th.
Not necessarily. They could just push a new watch face OTA without a software update like they did with the Unity Lights watch face earlier this year.

Haven’t seen a watchOS beta drop yet but everything else that has been released is either an a or b build.

Makes you wonder if the QC people are now so busy with iOS 16 that they just wave their hand at the second iteration of a iOS 15 beta: “Better than the first build? Ok. Pass!”

It was almost certainly already built into watchOS, and just wasn't visible to the user until Apple flipped a server-side switch on "release" day.

I finally come round to the thinking that 15.5 will be next for public release and we will never seen a 15.4.2.

@gwhizkidsexplained to me the other day that no only that seem the most likely possibility, but that the public final release of 15.5 could be a lot sooner than we initially expected. Not in June, but this month.

Yes, I would say 100% this month!

I wouldn't be surprised if we see an RC version next week. According to what I read, there are hardly any changes between beta 3 and 4, so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a RC next Tuesday.
This, or a possible beta 5 that copies what happened with ios 15.4: beta 5, RC and release I publish the same compilation, so they save time hehe

Yes but with one minor adjustment: Beta 5 next week and RC the following week (week of 5/16). Public release on 5/24 or 25.
I'm thinking Beta 5 / RC next week and final the week after. Anyone else?

So no beta 5 today? 'a' build I reckon.

Then we sit on that for 2 weeks - bored.

Then RC inline with GeeeeWhiz
