At this stage it probably does make sense since it is not too late for major code changes. For example Apple may have taken comments on board and be re-writing bits of the new Safari (I wish).

Its extremely rare for Apple to release 2 different versions to developers on the same day. Mainly so they don’t cause much stress on their servers. It’s pure common sense, as well as logical from a developer POV.
So, them not releasing Beta 3 today is a no brainer. It’ll be tomorrow at the earliest.
Also, you’re incorrect. iOS 11.0 beta 2 was 19 days.
I don’t think gwhizkids is suggesting the USA had the first currency, only that it had the first $. And there are a lot of currencies that pre-date our £.

Public beta might be a day later. Usually in the early stages that’s the case. The last release was an anomaly due to DB2 being revised.
