If we get B5 on 3 August and weekly thereafter, that will mean there are 9 betas before public release around Sep 10.
This does not seem likely with such stable betas.
Hence I think we get B5 on 10 August, resulting in 8 betas before public release around Sep 10.

I think we’ll get 9 betas but public release will not be until likely 9/23 assuming they hold the iPhone event the week after Labor Day here in the US. Could be later if there are phone shortages due to chip issues.

I think 15 is ready for weekly’s, no?
It pretty damn stable.

And Tim emailed me this morning, but I told him not to bother me on holiday. It can wait. But B5 can’t. Make sure I have it before my return.

P.s Timbo, heard on grapevine Elon might be your successor. Interesting. Toodles x

That doesn’t matter. Apple has a plan.

The others are also right, we could sit on the last beta for a long while before we get the RC. There’s been times where it’s been almost a month on the last beta before we got the GM. I’m not gonna speculate on the RC yet. It’s gonna be dependent on when they want to release it.

Yea, last year, with the watch, and the Pro and Mini getting later releases. This year will be interesting for that.

History doesn’t always repeat itself. ??
The states indicate that history is extremely more likely to repeat itself, than not.

You’re setting yourself up to be disappointed….

Better to set a realistic expectation, then be happily surprised IF it beats that expectation, that to set a slightly unrealistic expectation and then be very disappointed (Since we have seen what your histrionics can be like ?)

No beta 4 to 5 is 2 weeks look at iOS 14 and iOS 13 weekly betas only started after beta 5 so it’s another week guys
Exactly, since iPhoneOS 2, only 3 times has it been 1 week from B4 to B5. Not good odds on that happening again.

Just cos some people think that it’s quite a stable beta, doesn’t meant Apple will change their schedule.

Happy Monday ya'll!

Can't believe we're just one month away till iOS drops. Time is flying.

We’ll, if you mean “September”, sure.

If you mean “roughly 30 days till iOS is made available publicly”, then probably not. Not likely to show up until the last week or so in September, which is more like 50 days away.

If it doesn’t happen I’ll be fine, as long as everything keeps running smoothly like it is at the moment, that’s the main thing.

That’s why I posted what I did, as we know what that person is like with their posts ?

Do y’all still think we’re having an event in September? With supply chain issues and based on last year, I just assumed the event would be in the first half of October at the earliest.

When was it rumored to be in September? I was thinking October… given that was the last time it was held. Especially having that new screen with 120hz, with heavy ProMotion marketing behind it.

Apple has historically announced new iPhones for their Back to School event, which has over time morphed in to just a new iOS/iPhone launch. Expect the announcement, along with the release of iOS 15, to be in September. Supply chain issues would only impact the hardware release.

Agreed to the odds. However Apple will also know that it is a stable beta.
Still what makes you say that Apple has to change its schedule to make it weekly.
It might be that their original plan is for weekly. Although I support that it is highly unlikely.
