iOS 17.1 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Not really. A few UI glitches have been fixed when Reduced motion was on with App Store.
Seeing as we’ve gone backwards in some respect with the tones, and this release seems to be fixing a few things only, I’d be hopeful that .2 brings the new features.
Yeah totally wasn’t thinking through the process properly last night… the wash of being totally gutted got the better of me.
How hard can it be to make a 80% charge limit work.

I have a bad bug with iOS 17.0.2 on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This occurs quite often and I have tried to resolve it by doing a fresh install of iOS, not using my iCloud backup. This doesn't fix it though.
A lot of the time, when I go to send a photo from the Photos app to someone via share/message (sending it via iMessage) it gets stuck on the 'Preparing' stage forever.
If I instead just go to the Messages app and try to send the photo from there, it just never loads into the message window...stuck again.
The images I am using are 'Live' photos with a Portrait blur added after taking the pic.
I'm currently downloading the developer beta of 17.1 beta 1 in order to check if it fixes the issue. Anyone else experience this bug?

I’ve just got a 14PM on the same software version and experiencing similar issue with sending photos and videos.
It’s taking far longer to send stuff to different people and occasionally getting stuck on ‘preparing’ like WhatsApp, iMessage etc…
Hope this gets fixed asap on next update!
No, apps like Xero Verify and PS App that were transferred but never asked me if I want notifications, I have to delete the apps and re install them to get the notification to pop up and accept
It has been a bit hit and miss for me, most OK but reminders were not showing. I had to create a new reminder and set a time and date, only then did prompt me if I wanted to allow notifications and then reminders appeared in the notifications options in settings.
Oh that’s VERY interesting - thanks so much for the feedback. It feels like a ‘service’ issue to me alongside a software one. Maybe a combination of iCloud and Photos. Apple needs to fix this one - it’s terrible.
I haven’t had overheating issues with my 15PM like others, but it definitely would get warm. I feel like this beta has been running cooler. Has anybody else noticed?
So this version seemed to fix the standby battery drain that iOS 17 introduced (13 Pro Max) - no longer dropping 30-40% overnight doing nothing, last night only dropped ~8% which was normal before 17.
I have 5g (13 pro max) on Vodafone and ee. No sign if sa on either with this beta

Also, graphical glitch: when Music is full screen, the navigation bar goes all black and without rounded corners. Overall, it also looks off. As if there was a Cut & Paste and it was shifted a pixel or two:

Just got my first phone call on 17.1. I could not find the speaker phone button. This was an incoming call from an Android user. It was either missing, or I've gone blind. I mostly text with folks. If you see it, let me know.
