Sometimes the older version is more stable which, in turn, equates to ‘better’, no?

I feel like modem software is like an appliance. It needs to be solid, stable. If devs keep adjusting it, how can it ever be stable.

Crazy stuff. I’d settle for one modem software version that just basically worked most of the time. Doesn’t have to be constantly tinkered with.

If engineers constantly tinkered with my fridge for example, I don’t think it would keep getting better. Perhaps the opposite actually.

Just a thought though…I’m probably wrong.

Is it possible to restore to the official release and use a back up from beta 3? I am going on vacation next week and I need the camera to work properly

Possibly. In past years you could edit the info.plist file and change the version and build# sections in the file. Then it would restore. No idea if that will work now especially with how funky the 15s have been with rolling back and restores. Guess you could try it and see. Also maybe try a "reset all settings" and see if it helps with this issue first.

Has anyone noticed car play bugs being fixed in b3? For example: I still cannot send or reply to messages in b2. Installing b3 and will test. I connect wireless and have no other issues with car play.

Others reported volume issues, connection with a cable, wireless connection etc across different models of cars and phones with iOS 17 (not just iPhone 15 line up )

I've had airplay issues with ios17 for a very long time.

If I want to play music on my HomePod from my phone I have to restart my phone every single time. It's a bit ridiculous.

Siri stoped respond to play, when saying shuffle my Shazam tracks, says the app is not supported by Siri, before it was working with the Shazam playlist?

I had an experience of my own with Siri just now. “hey Siri play some music” usually gets me a personalized station on Apple Music. Has for as long as I’ve been using it.

Tonight Siri told me I had to accept the new AM privacy policy, which I did, then asked where I’d like to complete this request. I said Apple Music and it did exactly what it always has. Never experienced this on a beta before.

EDIT: 4 hours running this beta and issues still persists. Have pages just stop loading until I turn off wifi.

Here's just one example of two devices right next to each other. One, iPhone 15 Pro max can't connect to the internet while the iPhone 12 is fine. Eventually when the iPhone 15 PM decides to want to connect, it will at best push out 10-20% of the iPhone 12. (I don't have a 6e network fwiw)

My exact hope, once it finally shows up on my 15 Pro I’ll keep testing it.

17.2 b2 was a bit better than b1 for my WiFi but I hope this one completely irons out the random dead connections.

This is not a good sign that they can’t figure this out. The iPhone 15 models have been out 2 months and still no fix. I’m very concerned Apple have f***ed up the hardware and are scrambling to try to optimize what they can to make it passable. A big wtf still to me when they should have top tier engineers on their payroll.
