Anyone having problems printing? Tried to print something via WiFi / AirPrint today and was unable to do it from both my iPhone or iPad, both running the latest beta. Print selection screen would open but upon hitting start the dialog box would close and nothing happened.
Printing via AirPrint works fine with me. Did you try do some basic voodoo (reset router, printer, rotate on your chair counterclockwise or sacrifice some old Android device?). Not sure about the chair thing but the other usually works for me almost every time. 😜

Was able to print just fine from my laptop, so was maybe thinking it was something with my phone/ipad. But yes, normally basic voodoo tends to do the trick. :)

No it does not appear to clear them. But at least a sync can now be completed without turning a watch off or killing some process first. I’m thinking at this point, the files remaining on the device was an intentional change.
I was looking at this yesterday. I had about 14GB of system data on my 15PM and it dropped to just below 10 after a sync. I also dropped a few GBs after telling Siri to restart my iPhone.

Nice, hoping for wifi that finally works 🙏

EDIT: 4 hours running this beta and issues still persists. Have pages just stop loading until I turn off wifi.

Here's just one example of two devices right next to each other. One, iPhone 15 Pro max can't connect to the internet while the iPhone 12 is fine. Eventually when the iPhone 15 PM decides to want to connect, it will at best push out 10-20% of the iPhone 12. (I don't have a 6e network fwiw)
I'm having WiFi issues with my 15 Pro as well. Not necessarily pages not loading, just really slow speeds at times and issues with apps like IG not playing videos all the way through or being able to refresh the feed. Very frustrating for an $1,100 phone.

Interestingly, I also have an iPhone 12 provided by my employer and it routinely runs 3 times faster than the 15, which means it's like the phone itself that's the issue. Both are updated with iOS 17.1.1. I've tried a few things, but nothing has seemed to worked so far.

On iOS 17.2 Beta 3 (dev) I found this here on my iPhone with messages. Over 19K still in iCloud. How can I delete them all in the cloud?

I just had some apps update while my phone wasn't charging. Is that new?
No this has occurred for ages. I frequently see apps update when I’ve taken my phone off the charger in the morning and start looking at overnight notifications and emails. Sometimes during the day when I unlock the phone I’ll see an app spin as it gets updated. I figure the App Store app has specific times it checks for updates but I’ve never been able to detect what that interval is.

That was one reason I used to sync my phone on a regular basis, to regain storage space. But I haven’t detected a significant change currently after these syncs. And the diagnostic files seem to be pretty current when I check Analytics. But it does appear that those files over 7 days are eliminated automatically by the device. That did not use to happen as reliably for me before; which is why I was consistent with those syncs. I think restarting the device always gets rid of some files as it does on my mac. My available storage on my MacBook Air always increases a bit after a restart so I assume something like that occurs on the ios devices as well.

Does anyone know if this contains any fix / does not contain bug that is causing some iPhone 15s to lock up their touchscreen in 17.1.1 ?

I am on the 17.2 beta 3 on my own iPhone 13 pro max, but my OH has just had the infamous total touchscreen failure on 17.1.1 with even a restart not helping. DFU is working fine, and touchscreen working, but I'm wondering if it might reoccur and whether it's worth daring to suggest she uses the 17.2 beta ..

Haven’t experienced such a thing with 17.2—or any other software version—on my base iPhone 15. Does she have AppleCare/insurance through which she might be able to acquire a replacement?

Not AppleCare, but it’s under warranty (we also have insurance ). But it seems suggested related not hw. Hopefully the reinstall will help but looking for any more technical details

For all with issues on the 15 Pros... what bands are you using on your Wifi? I don't think they fixed the issue with using the 160MHz band yet, have they?

I was having wifi issues when I was using the 160MHz band, but they cleared up when I switched to 80MHz. (Drops top speed a little, I know, but I'll take that over unusable WiFi.)

The wifi issue of my 15 PM dropping network when screen was off and reconnecting when phone was unlocked using face ID is fixed in 17.2 B3.

However, I face some extremely random heating up and battery drain. Today it was just sitting on my desk with all apps force-closed and when I picked it up, all of a sudden it was warm... I mean the silicone case was warm so I removed it from the case. The back was too hot to touch. I double checked and no app was running in the background and the phone dropped from 100% battery to 91% in mere 10 mins. I literally panicked and turned it off. Let it cool for 10 mins and turned it back on. Then again the phone got warm and battery went down to 85%. I decided to book an appointment with Apple after an hr or so. But then after am hr, it was still on 85% and extremely cold with 0 signs of heating.

Honestly I am clueless.
