Just a few examples:
Facebook Messenger lock screen widget stopped working on iPhone 15's.
Reddit's app lock screen widget also broken on iPhone 15's.
Revolut app won't work on Apple Watch if being set-up as a new device, tested with two seperate Watches paired with a 15 Pro. The app works on the phone, but won't launch on the Watch.

Are you sure this is all iOS 17 fault or the app developers might have something to do with it as well?

Either I'm blind, or I do not see a Favorite Songs playlist in Apple Music.
Mine wasn’t there either. Then I un- favorite a song, force close music app, re open music app, favorite that song again and the favorite play list appeared with a big red star in playlists

15PM on RC, AWU1 on previous release.
10.2 came out and went to update m AWU - that’s when things went sideways.

Placed AWU1 on charger, went into AW app and started the update. Download was good. Install …. Ugh
Get a message that cannot install till watch is greater than 50% and on charger. Watch was at 48%.
Went to take a screenshot - doesn’t work. If I close the message it works but not if the message is showing.
Got to 51% and now it is starting the install …. Been 30 minutes and I am at about 20% installed. At least that looks close according to the tick marks.

Now the phone is saying that my watch has been updated but it is still at about 20%.

Sigh….. Here’s to hoping my AWU1 will eventually finish the update. :(

Update: my AWU1 finally finished. It took about 2.5 hours. Ugh.

WiFi is still broken on my iPad Pro 11”. Random disconnects galore. Makes streaming a painful experience.

Has anyone else been having lots of issues with safari lately? Like the "find in page" function crashes it sometimes? Or if you load a page it'll be stuck on the last website graphically, but all the buttons of the website you loaded are in the background? Very buggy.

Yes, I have this. Or when I go back to the previous webpage, then a lot of times it is getting stuck and I can’t go back a page. Only when I refresh the page then I can go back, but it then goes two pages back, instead of one. If that makes sense. I have this on all my devices with safari. Really annoying!

Anyone else having issues with ringtones?

I was syncing through Finder when I decided to delete one I no longer wanted on my device when it deleted all of my custom ringtones and tones. When I try to re-sync them it renames them to the deleted one. I have to create them in Garage Band to have the correct tone. It's very annoying.

EDIT: I've already tried rebooting my iPhone and MacBook to no avail.

EDIT #2: iMazing works to transfer my ringtones.

One very nice thing for me. 17 brought new options for Safari - clear history and website data but it didn't save you preferences - this update saves your preferences - yeah

Updated to 17.2 this morning, along with updating to Sonoma 14.2 and XCode 15.1. For the length of time it took them to get these released you would think they would have found the unbelievable amount of bugs I've already come across. Here's just a few:

1. XCode sometimes can't tell whether or not the device is unlocked when doing a build/run on a real device. You must manually lock it and then unlock and XCode will see it properly.

2. Turning on the flashlight sometimes works and sometimes does nothing. I thought I was going crazy and started checking to ensure my flash still worked. Yup, all good hardware wise, and again, locking/unlocking the iPhone finally allowed me to turn on/off the flashlight.

3. Random application crashes. Things that were working perfectly on 17.1.2 had sporadic crashing, including the app I am developing. Running it again and no crash. It's definitely something buggy in the new iOS.

4. Starting an app for the first time after the update takes a really long time. I am aware that there's always a brief delay but I tried launching Real Racing 3 and it took almost 30 seconds before the launch was completed.

5. XCode will not remember your last file path when adding a file. Not only that but it shows the add file window but no contents inside. You have to click to a different location and then back to see the contents of the directory, and then navigate all the way to where you want to add the new file. As it knows the context of where you have clicked within XCode when choosing to add a new file, it always went straight to that directory previously.

There's a bunch more, but for now, just.... wow Apple.

After updating my 15PM last night my google maps no longer display on my Mazda, only a black screen. The directions still show but on a black screen… no problems with the display on the phone, just the car…

iPad Pro 11 G4 and 15 ProMax on 17.2
Weather Widget / Weather App.

Odd that both are showing different temps for the same local.
Open weather app on each and close app. Widgets are still off at times.
See attached.
