Totally. Heck, a terminal interface, however limited it may be, to allow scripting would be cool as heck on iPad.I honestly would want something like chocolatey (windows), winget (windows) or homebrew for iOS/iPadOS.
I agree, US should have a 30% core platform fee.I agree, it should have come to the US first.
Did you expect to be able to download Dropbox from Mega or Google or Yandex Disk?Oh yeah look at all these choices of installing Dropbox for Mac from...only Dropbox.
It makes plenty of sense as the eu app market place will now be a free for all as originally thought.that makes no sense![]()
??????what a bizarre take lol
Exactly! An app isn't worth less to me just because the developer saved some money on the commission.??????
Devs pay less commission and therefore get more take home pay. How is this a bad thing? I don’t want reduced commission savings passed on to me.
Thanks for proving that there's only one place for installing Dropbox from. So much for the choice argument.Did you expect to be able to download Dropbox from Mega or Google or Yandex Disk?
You can download it from your iCould account as well, if you upload it first. No one is stoping anyone from uploading it to another website, but what would be the point of that? Thanks for proving that there's only one place for installing Dropbox from.

I consider this to be really bad news! For starters there is absolutely no way I’m installing any other app stores, yet some apps might only be available that way. This also hurts Apple’s profitability, which as a stock holder I don’t like!
As opposed to the App Store which is... one? I'm not sure what point you're trying to makeThanks for proving that there's only one place for installing Dropbox from. So much for the choice argument.
So you want your preferences to limit mine.Personally, I wish the Mac were locked down like IOS. I hate it when a developer of an app I need makes me compromise safety by bypassing the App store. And, as a result, I've stopped buying any apps outside the app store if at all possible.
You mean the platform that would not exist if it wasn't for Apple. The Platform that Apple has to pay to maintain. Do you think all the year software updates are free for Apple to create?Honestly, the way this has been handled annoys me to no end. Why does Apple think they deserve to be paid for users downloading apps on their own phones, on their own copies of iOS?
If you use the Apple ecosystem, everything that’s on your phone is also on your Mac that you can install anything you want on.that's a ridiculous statement. a modern phone carries more info, and makes it more easily available than ANY home system. It's not apples to apples. People WILL lose money, be compromised, and be spied on to a degree that was not possible before. it's not a joke. It's not funny and it's silly to equate the platforms. Less tech savvy will be hit the hardest with recurring fees and scam apps. Spyware will proliferate and people's phones will be compromised. it's going to be a mess for many people. Who could just buy an android and enjoy that mess.
I believe the prices in all countries are pegged to the US prices.Apple is already charging for iPhones in the EU (and elsewhere) as much as it thinks it would be most profitable.
We already know Tim Sweeney think Apple should pay him every time someone installed one of his Apps.
Apple is dropping the 30 percent commission to 17 percent, and the 15 percent commission paid for subscriptions over a year old or by small businesses will drop to 10 percent.
