When it does that, it's because you held your AirTag very close to the iPhone, so it was essentially scanned. Can happen if you have the iPhone and AirTag in the same pocket/bag.
I've had these AirTags since the launch of them, and have not changed any habits or workflows. I have one in my car and one on my keys. Wasn't until I updated to the 17.5 RC that I started seeing these prompts. Something's changed.

Then it could be low batteries inside the AirTags. They behave in a weird way once the battery starts getting low.

I've literally changed both batteries about 3-4 weeks ago, way before updating to the recent RC. I'm able to go into FindMy and see the two Items listed, Serial Numbers match the info when I tap the Notifications. I've received these alerts twice now, both since going to the RC. I've rebooted..

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ugh… went from 17.4.1 to 17.5 RC and now iMessage audio recordings sent from me sound terrible: very low quality and scratchy and echoey. Really bad.

The person I’m sending audio messages back and forth with is still on 17.4.1 and his messages sound crisp and clear and sharp, but mine suddenly sound terrible. It’s definitely a 17.5 thing.

Very, very disappointing.
Interesting yesterday I sent a pic via iMessage and two of the Android users got super low quality images. Another was ok. I did have the low quality checked in settings but have always had that on and no complaints. I turned that off and resent to one of the users and it came through ok that time. So something has changed in iMessage apparently.

Did you already restart the iPhone one more time? If it's still like that, it's likely a hardware defect that just appeared coincidentally.
Did a few restarts and the problem still persists.

So… you’re saying you think it’s a hardware defect that just so happened to suddenly appear immediately after I installed iOS 17.5? I dunno about that…

15 ProMax / iPad Pro 11 g4 - RC Update

I have my 15PM set to forward all texts to my iPad. Since b3, the notifications for the forwarded texts show up on the iPad before the iPhone 100% of the time. This is just Notifications. If I have Messages open on both devices, it shows up on the iPhone first.

With the update to RC, my iPad is now showing the same issue my iPhone does with Find My showing a percentage in battery use but no minutes. Problem is Find My is turned off on both devices.

Battery is better than b4 but appears to be the same as b3.

ProMax - Camera - Photos still have a yellow tint in anything other than direct bright light. It is software as the iPad is demonstrating the same but not as intensely.

15 ProMax - Badges - something updated and/or changed as all badges are currently correct. Knock on wood.

RC wiped out the history in the App Store. Both devices.

More to come as I continue to dig … ;)

Some stats from today. 15 Pro. Not great but it’ll get me through a day 😂

I’ve started getting notified about my own AirTags being with me. Not sure what happened…

I'm not on 17.5 and get this; it's not new. I get it when I put my keys and phone down together sometimes. The AirTag has to be very close to the phone to trigger it, though.

I have not noticed any problems in this RC version compared to iOS 17.4.1 on my iPhone 15 pro. But I'm seeing that in the section for each app in the iPhone settings, the version of the app and where it was downloaded from should appear. I don't have any alternative store, only the AppStore, could this information not appear for this reason?
On the other hand, they told me that in the AppStore settings, I could disable the annoying security warning window every time I install a new app, an option that I don't have either. It would not make sense for this option to be activated only if you have two app stores.

Took my phone off the charger at 6 AM, SOT about 30 minutes then drove into work at 7:45 (plugged into CarPlay for 20 minutes) and has been off the charger since. Light usage and I'm at 98% at 2:40 PM---Amazing!

Do you have find my iPhone / find my network enabled?

Messages is randomly cutting off the ending of sent messages like the recipient is actually seeing the whole message but I don’t, however when I click on edit message, it shows the whole message.

For example I wrote „…. Kritikfähigkeit“ but Messages only shows „Kritikf-„

Wish I could say the same.
Left the 15PM asleep for 10 hours and for 6 of the 10, FindMy shows as a battery consumer with a % but no minutes.
Crazy as I have FM turned off. This has been an issue for a few betas now.

Overall in standby it dropped 8% in battery last night.

💩 is happening to me as well now. The only „fix“ for me is to disable Bluetooth.

Yes… for me and my wife.
i have find my iphone enabled as well but "find my network" disabled. i've been doing some testing with the "find my network" enabled and disabled and have still not come to a full conclusion as to how much it affects overall battery life but it does seem to have an effect. i'll post about it when i find out more in terms of just how much it affects battery life
