i did two full resets on my 15 plus and the battery is still horrible

it is draining absurdly, completely different from what it was in ios 17.5 for example

also the phone is getting super hot

I haven't had any battery issues in years, but with this 17.6.1 update my 14Pro is draining exceptionally quickly. It shows safari as my big sucker. It dropped from 80 to 50 in about twenty minutes. The phone was warm. Restarted and have the same issue. Argh. Haven't had this issue since a beta several years ago.

I’m seeing a pattern there.
Maybe this battery drain issue is affecting specifically the A16 devices 🤔

Is anyone else noticing with this recent group of updates to iOS, WatchOS, and MacOS that Messages badge notifications are not syncing properly all the time? For example, if I get a text message, it will show up on my iPhone, Apple Watch, and MacBook. But, when I delete it on one device, the "1" badge icon will not go away on the other devices. The message is gone, so the sync is happening, but the little 1 stays there until I restart devices.

I’ll let you know as soon as all my devices are updated.
If everything goes according to the plan, tomorrow is the day.

PSA: DO NOT install the updated 17.6.1 via IPSW.

My 13P went into data recovery mode and looks like it might be there for a while.
Thanks for posting, it was downloading now. Might be a random glitch with your device but not willing to find out.
