100% charged at 6:45am. All apps closed just sitting in my pocket while at work. At 10am it’s dropped to 82%. Something is wrong here
Did anyone made a DFU Restore and had success so far on an iPhone 15PM with better battery life after that?
It’s almost the latest iPhone on almost its original iOS version (if it’s on iOS 17), it’s a Pro Max, and it’s at 90% health, not 10%. I don’t know why you’re expecting it to be garbage. So idk if the battery health number is a bunch of crock or what. But I’m at 90% battery health on my 14 pro max and I was at Disneyland. All. Day. Long. I’m home now but I’ve been out for darn near 17 hours and I’m still at 45% battery. I got out of the car (only 1.5 hr drive for me to Disney) at 8 am and my battery was at 100%. It is now 12:42 am next day. Didn’t charge it at all at Disneyland and I’m still at 45%. With games and using the app etc.
Starting to think that battery health percentage is just to freak people out. My phone works flawlessly.
My battery life is also much better after the DFU restore. Even with backup.
Can you post back after a couple of days please? What are your phone models?Did a hard reset on my 11 and then charged to 100%. After 3 hours in my pocket it is now on 99%. Hopefully it’s sorted now then
Posts like this keep me away from 17.Yeah, 17.1 has worse battery life than 17.0.3 did -- pretty disappointed at this...
Hopefully they fix it with 17.2... hopefully. If they can at least bring it back to 17.0.3 levels, i'll be happy.

Yes. Battery is drained even when unused eg. at night.13 Pro Max
View attachment 2305553 For me, on my iPhone 15 PM battery was fine on iOS17.1 for about 2 days. It was better than 17.0.3. Something happened and on the 3rd day it's way worse!
After one years my 13 PM still drain with ios17I got my iPhone 13 brand-new in April this year. Battery health is still on 100% (heavy-user). Honestly, I haven't noticed any issues with battery life at all over the iOS releases since April.
I have not had great success with this. I tried a reset all settings and set up as new and got ~5.5 hours screen on time (ending the day at 16%) the next day. I then DFU restored to 17.1 final, again set up as new and let it download (500Mbps WiFi), before plugging in and letting it sync all evening (around 8 hours). During this time I did toggle on Messages in iCloud and pair my watch so they could sync overnight as well.Did anyone made a DFU Restore and had success so far on an iPhone 15PM with better battery life after that?
It’s not the phone, it’s the software. My 13 pro max was perfectly fine on 16.6.1 before ruined by ios17I have not had great success with this. I am currently at 63% after unplugging at 9 AM; 2 hours and 20 minutes screen on, 1 hour and 32 minutes screen off. So that’s 7 hours total unplugged, 2.5 hours use and 37% loss. At that math the battery on a fresh install of 17.1 on an iPhone 15 Pro Max will be 6.9 hours - absolutely terrible.
The 14 Pro Max that’s been in the same conditions today his 3.5 hours screen on time, 2 hours screen off, and it’s at 85%.
My 11, 13 Pro, 14 Pro Max, and I think the 12 mini got better battery than this phone.
That’s extremely poor. 7 hours on an original iOS version... you have to go back to 4.7-inch iPhones to see numbers like those.I have not had great success with this. Not expecting it. Just general consensus (vast majority of users discussing this topic anyway) seems to equate anything less than 95percent to horrible degradation. Idk why you jumped all over my reply. I was trying to insinuate that the health meter doesn’t mean much. ☺️It’s almost the latest iPhone on almost its original iOS version (if it’s on iOS 17), it’s a Pro Max, and it’s at 90% health, not 10%. Battery health is irrelevant if the device isn’t updated enough, and one major version is definitely not enough.
No games, no music, no downloads - just safari and Apple Books, about 15 minutes of instagram, today. We’re traveling, so when I wasn’t driving I was just browsing. That’s extremely poor. 7 hours on an original iOS version... you have to go back to 4.7-inch iPhones to see numbers like those.
Are you a heavy user by any chance?
Your 15 Pro Max on its original iOS version should have no problems and should easily surpass something like this: View attachment 2305790
Yeah, my reply came off a little bit aggressive now that I was it again and it wasn’t my intention, sorry! Not expecting it. 3h 47 min of screen-on time with 38% remaining, with iBooks (the lightest on-screen app I’ve found) as the second most-used and Safari the most used is one of the poorest results I’ve ever seen, especially on a Pro Max.No games, no music, no downloads - just safari and Apple Books, about 15 minutes of instagram, today.
