iOS 17 Beta 1 ― Bug Fixes, Changes, and Improvements

Yeah it seems also even with auto updates turned off, beta updates turned off, I still got the Dev update OTA on my phone and access to IPSW files from the Dev portal.
We all thought Apple was tightening access to things like this, with the expiration of profiles needed in 16, when it came to Dev related accounts … but yesterday was like a free for all 😆😂

Don’t cancel the offline maps download pop up. There’s no way to get it back if you do.
It popped up for me this morning and I cancelled it as needed to do some other stuff. Thinking it would appear again when I quit/relaunch or give me the option to do it manually. It doesn’t and I’ve reset all settings on my phone to no avail.
Guessing it’s a bug and later releases will have the option in the menu to do it.

Have you tried just turning iMessage off, then on again, that can help with sync issues sometimes.
The cycle computer views on fitness are good but it really needs a map view to truly take over.
Found how to do it. Tap your logo on maps and it brings this menu up.
Open Maps
Pull up from the bottom if not prompted to download
Click the icon in the top right
Select Offline Maps
Developer portal shows me restore images for all devices. I guess having the beta profile automatically enrolled us in the beta program? 
Changes I found so far:
When zooming on a photo a crop button appears.
Definitely animations are changed.
New clock, calendar and apple music widgets.
In weather in the my location tab, the my location text is shown bigger and the location is underneath much smaller.
Pressing the i button when is an incoming call shows new UI with contact details which is verry choppy.
Safari new tab UI - kinda choppy.
Control center small and large music widget changed.
Added prediction and swipe-to-type for romanian (maybe another languages too).
Sensitive Content Warning toggle in Settings -> Privacy.
Seems like weather widget is not checking for the location every unlock like in iOS 16 (huge battery drainer).
App Store search tab looks kinda different, less spacing between title, search bar and suggestions.
Settings -> Messages -> iMessage Apps shows installed iMessage apps and can be uninstalled from there.
Kaleidoscope wallpapers.
Settings -> Cellular -> Cellular data usage apps can now be sorted by name or by data used.
iPhone Storage graph slightly changed.
Call screen and contact info obviously.

Squared notification summary borders and notifications when expanding and collapsing.

My exchange and gmail accounts work as before (although I needed to re-enter passwords, but then I normally have those accounts disabled, so this happens every now and again anyway).
My main IMAP account is failing (I have 3 others, which all work). It either gets stuck on "connecting" or gives an error saying the imap server returned "null" or some such. There is an entry in the release notes regardign IMAP and namespaces but I don't think that's my/our issue.
I recreated the account (ticks all the way through - so the account details were verified as ok) but it still fails to connect.
On Sonoma it's all working fine.
Are adaptive noise control and conversation awareness suitable to be always on?
Yes, i heard that they have to implement it before this fall. So probably in the next iOS versions. At this moment, its not working even in EU.
I can confirm it works pretty well. For real, for a Dev Beta it is very, very stable. Battery could be better but thats okay. It runs smoother than the non-Beta-Android I got on my work phone
