Looks like the selection “grabbers” are larger now and, as @Theyayarealiving noted earlier, a different shade of blue.

I am a little curious to see what happens IF Apple decides to try to fix this... looks like the dev beta is a free-for-all at this point... but if Apple shuts it down and makes it work like they said it would, how many will be left in the limbo of beta 1 forever? :D :D :D

You’ll most probably just be kicked onto the public beta channel.

iPhone-connected widgets in macOS Sonoma are brilliant! Talk about iOS > macOS continuity!

Apple does another thing right and it’s fantastic. You will be amazed that they have fixed the weather app and now it’s working again on my watch. My Apple world works again.

Edit: I spoke too soon. Now that I have come out to lunch and have the full cellular service, every time you unlock the phone, you get a notification saying that cellular data can’t work while you are on the call. I am not on a call.

You will only be in limbo until the first public beta is released, and then you can just flip over to that.

When I updated to iOS 17 OTA, I got the ping Apple Watch button in control center, but when I did a full restore with the iPSW, it’s not showing now. I made sure to restore my Apple Watch too and repair it.
You might have to go into the Settings app, under Control Center and add it manually. Same happened to me, but I was able to add it after the update.

Yes I find it to be quite funny how for months there’s been all this hullabaloo over apple getting rid of profiles, and many humans saying only paid developers will be able to get the iOS 17 dev beta. And then boom iOS 17 dev beta drops and is available to everyone lol.

Now if everyone did a proper backup they should be able to downgrade back to iOS 16, as I did last night as iOS 17 just isn’t ready to be my daily driver. Maybe beta 2, I only want it for the album artwork and so I can get watchOS 10.

Music app is struggling LOL. Interesting how certain things can break despite seemingly little changing. As already reported, selecting crossfade in the settings breaks the music section in the settings app. Crossfade is working, with varying results. Some crashing here and there. Music tends to keep playing, even when force quitting the app.

Autocorrect isnt working for me at all. I used to be able to write in english or german with the same Keyboard as long as i had all dictionaries downloaded. Now it only suggests me german words or tries to correct my english words with german gibberish 😔

Edit: nevermind! Forgot to add English as a second system language. PHEW

Nobody seems to know quite yet if this was a mistake on Apple's part or if they purposely opened up the beta to everyone.

I backed up my iOS 16 to my Mac just in case there are any issues, but so far, iOS 17 is performing well enough to be my daily driver. It's the next betas that can be of concern. Any one of them can be bad.

You could just change to the public beta when it comes out.

I do not have a beta profile installed and the Dev beta still shows up for me to download.

Not that I want to install the first beta, but I could.
Do it. You’re one of the lucky ones. Or, send it to me and I’ll do it.😁

I have a pretty unfortunate bug. „Allow Account changes„ is set to ALLOW but my iCloud as well as FaceTime and Messages section still remains greyed out 😵‍💫 now I can’t access my iCloud settings 🫠
