MAIL
Gmail
is updating fine
Webmail account keeps triggering the app to connect. Watch the bottom of the video.

Expecting that to be a battery drain.
Offloaded the app and turned on/off accounts, no change.

@dk001 you seeing this?

Seeing the same on the bottom. Keeps trying to connect :(
Removed for the moment. iCloud and Exchange seem to be working okay 🤞

In Mail - iCloud account, I am unable to select multiple emails in Junk.

There definitely seems to be an IMAP issue. I thought some of my IMAP accounts were working, but I think they're all erroring; only gmail, exchange and iCloud accounts work.

I assume it's related to this:

I am hoping that many more developers start to create iOS 16/17 homescreen compatible widgets now that they are dynamic. Only 45 out of 591 total installed apps have homescreen widget capability the rest are notification center widgets only or have no widget support at all.
I hope so too, but don't expect to see any until iOS 17 is released in late September.

When I updated to iOS 17 OTA, I got the ping Apple Watch button in control center, but when I did a full restore with the iPSW, it’s not showing now. I made sure to restore my Apple Watch too and repair it.

Can any one answer this please?

now that Covid 19 is over has Apple remove exposure notification from settings?

all so has apple added anything new in the voice memos app like auto play next?

and one more thing any thing new in the weather app?
That was removed for me in a beta in 16.6 because covid is “over now”

Items so far:

Mail - some accounts continually reconnect (thx @Pearsey )
Mail - iCloud - Junk Folder - cannot multi select emails. All other folders working okay for me.
---UPDATE - this has mysteriously fixed itself.
Mail - Exchange - calendar invites are not working
Watch - it is just slow. It all works, just really really slow.
Watch - Settings - unlock with iPhone was turned off. It was on prior to update.
Contacts - a few duplicates showed up. Had none before update.
Contacts - number of dropped by a bunch. Have to see just what is missing.
Messages - getting failed SMS to non iMessage folks even though they aren't failing
Weather - supposedly you can view yesterdays weather. Not seeing that option.

Overall not bad for a beta 1.
More to come ;)

Dropped into Safari and found some of my bookmarks are now dead links.

Other bookmarks changed color but a splash of the old color shows up when you press them. Example: Amazon - was gold, is now black but the gold flashes when you select it.

Don’t cancel the offline maps download pop up. There’s no way to get it back if you do.

It popped up for me this morning and I cancelled it as needed to do some other stuff. Thinking it would appear again when I quit/relaunch or give me the option to do it manually. It doesn’t and I’ve reset all settings on my phone to no avail.

Guessing it’s a bug and later releases will have the option in the menu to do it.

I was the same way...until I saw the "Developer beta" choice on the software update screen, haha!!

My hesitation was from the iOS7 beta...that was a LONG two weeks until they straightened it out. My iPhone was almost unusable, running hot, and the battery life was horrible.

I have a 14PM and this update was like nothing. All my apps work. Battery life is fine. Same with ipadOS and watchOS 10 (so far, haha!!).
I am a little curious to see what happens IF Apple decides to try to fix this... looks like the dev beta is a free-for-all at this point... but if Apple shuts it down and makes it work like they said it would, how many will be left in the limbo of beta 1 forever? :D :D :D
