2. Is the Apple TV Remote app different in iOS 17? It seems to be on my mini.

Some differences on the AppleTV Remote app. iOS 16 on the left, iOS 17 on the right.

For my Find My issue where Find resprings every time I try and use:

I've tried resetting everything I could find with Find My. Disabled the U1, reset network settings, removed / re-installed the Find My app, etc., etc.

Trying to re-install via the IPSW, but my MacBook wants to install a file to allow access which keeps failing and the Windows iTunes keeps saying it's too old even though it's the latest.

Might just wait till B2 or 3 to see if that resolves.

I mention how to get Finder talking to your phone here buddy.

Wonderful.. system data is at 106 GBs. This bug has been persistent for a few years but after installing the beta it’s ballooned.

Great, and there's basically no fix for this stuff other than setting up the iPhone as new and even then it's temporary. How is such a common bug publicized so little? People are running out of space because of this constantly.

IPSW re-install didn't resolve. :(

I’m really not a fan of this layout under the Messages app. It looks tacky and was put together last minute. I hope Apple changes the design.

These can easily be put under separate tabs.

I find it mostly odd that those icons are not even following the design language of iOS.

This is how it looks here:

It's interesting how much the menus change with different localizations of Spanish. I have my phone language set to Español (EE. UU.) in Language & Region. When I changed to Español (España), my menus matched yours. (The Siri language is a separate setting. I already had that set to Spain.)

Agreed, it just looks out of place and does not match any other part of the iOS design language at all. I was theorizing before that perhaps this is a preview of what the next iOS re-design will look like.

Same, I could see that being a hint to what iOS 18 could look like. I like the look of it but it doesn't seem to match with iOS. Maybe they could at least change the icons to iOS icons to make it more inline with our current iOS? Idk but I'm definitely going to leave some feedback for it though

iOS Beta 17 feeling a bit “sluggish” laggy in my iPhone 14 pro max.
Animations seem to “hang” for a little second sometimes.
Battery life is good so far but performance also when typing here that text is not that super smooth like it was in 16.6 beta 1

Guys I think give iOS 17 a chance, it's beta 1.

There is so much change it's hard to even compare it in its present beta state to iOS 16 with many official finished releases under its belt.

Maybe when it's officially launched Chris's comment is valid, if those things still stand, I doubt it though.

Agreed. While the icons look better, the way it is displayed looks clunky. They could have made these icon changes and just left it as a scroll on the bottom. It is also cumbersome to move stuff out of view to the first few apps.

My experience and thoughts exactly. Very frustrating.

I wonder if the wasted space is a backup copy. Like what android does having 2 carbon copies on the device at all times for updates and crash redundancy. Perhaps they are doing some sort of testing? Probably not..

Even if it doesn’t deplete on a 15w WIRED charger but only depletes on a 15W wireless charger?
Keep in mind this is happening more than 36 hours after the update
Update: wireless charging issue seemingly resolved after a reset. It’s still restoring from iCloud but the battery is actually charging now instead of depleting when connected to the wireless charger; and this is while it’s still actively restoring data. Hopefully nothing changes after this.

Any idea if all of the following is available in this beta?
Apple improved autocorrect across iOS, adding a new machine learning model that can better predict what you want to say. It can offer to autofill entire sentences with inline predictions when typing, so finishing a word or a sentence is as simple as pressing the spacebar. Correcting mistakes is easier because it can be done with a tap. There's also a new speech recognition model for dictation that makes it more accurate.
Enabling Predictive under keyboard settings just turns on the old feature.

There is a fix for this: don’t install the beta.

Please think twice before you complain about stuff like this in a first beta. Apple and users here warn people not to install the beta if it’s going to cause problems. And yet, here we are.
