Is anyone able to get the poster with first and last name? When I create a poster it just shows first name and no option to add last name but in iOS 17 ad material you see contact posters with first and last name.

It works whenever in landscape and charging.

And it’s awesome…this is one of those dumb features that makes my whole day.

Came home to my new charging stand so I can use it with my current case and I can’t wait to use it tonight. I may buy a few phone only stands just to charge like this in my office and the kitchen.

It’s one of those brilliant Apple moves. A simple feature that will drive a ton accessory sales. Being able to have different Standby configurations will sell a ton of MagSafe chargers alone. Wall mounts, desk stands of all sorts and sizes etc it will be fun to see what comes to market

Was anyone really expecting the same level of polish on the first beta of a major release as on the 6th point release of a year old OS?
Of course not. What did you think I meant? I expect a first beta to be somewhat unstable and bug-ridden.

Was I living under a rock, or have we been able to use FaceID in landscape mode for awhile now and I just didn’t notice (admittedly, not a use case I find myself in often - really only now due to the new landscape Lock Screen feature)?

1. Is the landscape view in Messages new? It looks different on my mini than my Pro Max.

2. Is the Apple TV Remote app different in iOS 17? It seems to be on my mini.

3. Man that drawer in Messages is so nicely built with the animations and the background blur.

Yea that vertical drawer thing looks nice in messages, just think the icons look sort of something Microsoft made 20 years ago. Hopefully they are just placeholders for now.

Yes FaceID was improved in the 14 series, we can even unlock almost at 180 degrees.

Two bugs in Home:

1. I lost the ability to set speed settings of a HK air purifier, only on/off remains.
2. I also use Hue dimmers/Hue tap and they don't work anymore. They show up fine in the Home app, but pressing a button does nothing.
