It’s really subtle, but yeah…raining here right now and small drops go down the info panes. Kewl.

Looks like the Music app won’t let you share a song or album via Messages without typing something in the text field. Certainly a minor bug.

EDIT: actually it won’t let you send it even when you type something. Whoops.

I was able to share a song from within the app to my wife’s iPhone. Were you trying to send to Android? Perhaps a reboot?

Interesting. I was trying to share via iMessage and had no luck, but I'll try again next time I reboot.

EDIT: it randomly started working with no reboot. Strange.

Just when someone confirms that Tesla app and Whatsapp are working fine, am gonna pull the trigger.
Tesla working fine. I do not have Whatsapp (or any social media).
Actually, everything I have is working fine. Battery life seems to be good as well. I mostly consume, PDF in Books, Music, banking apps, controlling the robot vacuum, work out app, robinhood, security app, wallet app, youtube app, and several custom apps.

Have not configured Standby, but that works as well.

Is there a way to disable swipe to reply in messages? I prefer to be able to swipe to go back to main message screen instead of reply.

So I turned this on earlier today without thinking much of it cause I don’t really hold my iPhone close to my eyes.

Or so I thought. Lo and behold, my iPhone just gave me a popup warning that I was holding it too close. I was really surprised. But it was right, I was unconsciously holding it up closer than usual.

Sometimes we’re not aware of our habits, especially when we’re concentrating on something. This is what I like about Apple, they put in the thought and effort into these safety features.

I forgot to screenshot the popup, will catch it if it comes up again. Of course, now I’m consciously holding it far lol, but we’ll see.

Is it your first day on the beta? It was bad for me on the first day, okay the second day, and better the third day. Could take time to index everything. You can see my posts on the battery thread.

I installed the beta on my 14 Pro around 36-37 hours ago. It's the 4th day on my XS Max.

Will check out your post, thanks!

My photos app has been showing « sync paused, optimizing system performance » since almost three days now. Anyone else?

Guess it’s still indexing and all, but don’t remember it taking so long in the past.

EDIT: seems like it went away after a hard reset.

Whoa…when listening to an iMessage audio message, you can now leave the Messages app and even lock your phone. The audio message takes over the Now Playing platter and you can scrub through the recording and easily skip forward or back by 5 seconds.

Awesome!

I wonder if the failed iMessage issue is a backend issue because the same thing occurred while a 12P - 16.5 tried sending to 14P - ios17. The sender got a failed send and it was indicating via SMS. The 14P did receive the messages though.

I’ve only so far seen reports of the sender being on ios17. It’s interesting a 16.5 sender had the same issue.

Well that didn’t take long. I am terrible at this 😂. Screenshots as promised:
