Yes and I had been getting that on 16.6, messaged someone with an android last night and had no problems, I will keep testing that out and report back. 🧪
Yes, I sent a similar message and I just realized this was only with my android friend, but they confirmed they received it. It’s just appearing as not delivered

Not a bug, but a change. Or just multiple choice? Or …
iPad Pro 11
AirPods Pro

When you open your AirPods you are never quite sure just what the OS is going to show you.
In all of these, the Airpods are in ear but what the screen shows …. WTFK

Thank you to all of the brave people here installing it on your devices.

I have two queries I wonder if anybody could answer please?

1. On iPadOS 17, does the favourites bar in Safari (below the address field) now include the site favicon? (I’ve seen on the macOS Sonoma forum that Safari on macOS now shows them, so I’m hoping it’s been brought to iPadOS 17 too as I find it much easier to quickly distinguish between the favourites.)

2. iCloud tabs in Safari. Have they brought back the swipe to close, or do you still need to long press and then close? Currently, if I’m on my iPhone for example and have a Safari tab open on my iPad, if I think “I can actually close that tab now”, I need to long press on the iCloud tab on the iPhone and then close it. It used to be so much quicker (and made more sense for touch first devices) when you could swipe to close an open tab on another device, in the same manner that you can swipe left to delete an email in the Mail app. (I think swipe to close was iOS 13 and earlier, and the long press to close was introduced in iOS 14.) I did provide feedback to Apple about it through the feedback app a couple of times, but nothing has come of it as of iOS 16.5.

Had to switch my mobile data off on mail, as it’s draining my battery really quick.

Was fine on WiFi. Any tips on how to fix this? I have 7 accounts running. Firstly I disabled push, the set fetch to manually. This didn’t seem to matter, so switched mobile data off for mail.

Battery has gone back to normal, but I have to switch data back on if I want to receive emails.

1. Ringtone gets reset to default ( reflection) everyday regardless of what tone is set.

2. Photo shuffle wallpapers when set as Lock Screen and wallpaper pair. The wallpaper is dim compared to Lock Screen. I.e) in Lock Screen wallpaper is bright when you unlock and get in the wallpaper gets dim.

I’m wondering if Apple is running an A/B test on the keyboard algorithm fixes right now. I just finished typing something where I had to go back and correct “i’ll” to “ill” 2 times before it finally took. I just have not noticed really anything in the way of improvement to this since installing the beta.

Same for me on iPhone 13 and iPad Pro. Yahoo mail is killing the battery. Seems to be running constantly in the background. I’ve disabled my yahoo email for now.
Ahh good catch. In the brief time I was on this beta I had same issue with mail running constantly killing battery. I do have a yahoo acct (that I never use). I didn't even think to attribute it to that acct as I forgot its even on my phone They are probably an IMAP acct too so that would explain it.

This wouldn't surprise me. I think they were running A/B testing on iOS 16 betas for the Astronomy widget. On A side, let's say, they'd show the Moon Phases like this: 🌑🌒🌗🌔🌕🌖🌓🌗🌘🌑 which is out of order. Restart then they'd be back in order until two phases later. Restart again. But now, so far, they seem to be fixed in the new Weather app and in the widget too.

Is one of your accts a Yahoo acct? Others have reported similar issue (me as well) and the common item was Yahoo. Maybe just switch off that acct if you have one and see if it stops. IMAP accts are mentioned in the release notes as an issue in general, not specifically a constant running issue, but if any of your 7 are maybe turn off one at a time to determine which is causing the issue.

I have Hotmail and gmail accounts. Will try switching off one by one.

Thanks.

1. Still just text, no favicon.
2. Still cannot swipe to close iCloud tabs.

Tested the AirPods Pro, AirPods Pro 2, Nothing Ear 1, Nothing Ear 2, Nothing Ear Sticks on both the 13 Promax and iPad Pro 11 (2nd and 4th gen).

In all cases, these ear buds sound is muffled. The APP2 are least impacted.
Another item, while I was doing this, the NC on the APP2 would fade in and out based on what was happening on the TV my wife was listening to.

Yep, they have some tweaking to do.
None of the ear buds are running beta.
