There is a fix for this: don’t install the beta.

Please think twice before you complain about stuff like this in a first beta. Apple and users here warn people not to install the beta if it’s going to cause problems. And yet, here we are.

But I've literally never installed a beta. I'm commenting on the fact that something is still occurring in iOS 17 (even if just a beta) that has been an issue for years.

Thanks for the condescending PSA but I've literally never installed a beta. I'm commenting on the fact that something is still occurring in iOS 17 (even if just a beta) that has been an issue for years.

It actually has not really been an issue for most. In most cases, the OS is misrepresenting the amount of available remaining storage and it has no impact the user. In addition, it seems to happen exclusively to people on the betas. So for 99% of the install base, it’s not an issue.

on the calling screen, i don't see the voicemail option. I see remind me option instead of voicemail.

Are you saying that this happens when you have (A) received a call, (B) declined it and (C) the caller starts leaving a voicemail?

All three conditions need to happen for you see the “inline” voicemail. I think if you decline the call and the caller hangs up, you’ll just get the “remind me to call X” button.

I decided to take my friends advice and make my beta report to Apple for all of my bugs. The product is that I really don’t have any bugs. This has been the simplest iOS version I’ve ever had. And I started with iOS 2. I’m going to keep looking. You don’t know what you’re going to find. But for others if you are thinking about trying this thing, I say come on in the water is great.

It's bringing up an issue with the OS and I know multiple people whose free space has been eaten up by Other storage and it has prevented them from installing OS updates or taking add'l pictures and stuff like that. I would venture a guess that this occurs far more frequently and that most people aren't tech-literate enough to look into their storage uses in the Settings and realize that it's an OS bug. They probably just think "oh well, I'm out of storage".

when i receive a call , i don't see the voicemail button.
example, when some calls I see 3 options 1. slide to answer 2. remind me 3. message
when I checked a friends phone with iOS 17 beta, voicemail button is show on the calling screen.

My iPhone 13 PM cuts wifi and cuts FaceTime calls after 5-8 minutes, saying my conexión is unstable, but with other video apps works great and without wifi cuts.

The Adaptive Audio controls are really cool looking. 🥸

I have noticed that most of the icons in the settings have been modified. maybe some of them will end up on the desktop in future betas hehe

I think these are all now SF Symbols-based. So that would not surprise me

A bit of the occasional miss here and there, but the b1 for the AirPods Pro 2 with Adaptive Noise Control and the Conversational Awareness is JUST ABOUT absolute witchcraft.

I’ve got a pair in my cart. Have been teetering since I lost my charging case snowboarding in CO. I’ve been getting by with my AP3 but really miss the added features of the Pros.

I’m thinking I’ve been pushed over the edge reading this thread.

Does anyone know if there are restrictions on the Personal Voice feature? I've installed iOS 17 beta on my spare iPhone Xs an the option does not appear. The Live Speech section is there in accessibility, but I see no option to set up Personal Voice. Is this feature limited to device/country? I can't seem to find anything which would say what it's limited to.

Put the beta on my iPhone 13. Had the initial battery drain issue but that's settled down now. The biggest problem I've had so far is with the microphone and speakers not working for phone calls and recording video. Calls seem to work through my AirPods but there is no sound on the phone. Pretty sure this wasn't an issue before installing the iOS 17 beta and I haven't experienced this issue on previous betas but I understand that's the chance you take. Roll on beta 2.

Is anyone having trouble with volume control on the phone? Sometimes I can hit the side buttons to control volume, and then a minute later the side buttons have no control over the volume. I have to restart the phone to be able to control volume again.
