I use automation and a smart plug to turn my iPhone charger off when the battery reaches 90%. This worked perfectly in ios 16. Twice now on ios 17.0 and now 17.2, my "when battery rises above 90%" automation has turned the switch off at 91% as expected..... and then immediately turned it back on. Not 100% of the time, but more than once.

Anyone else seen issues like this with the Home app??

We can’t answer from here in the past. Where we are, it’s still June 2023 and iOS 17 has not been released yet, let alone iOS 17.2.

(Home app is still buggy. I’d report it and see what happens in beta 3. )

Homekit automation has always been buggy. Most work fine, but not 100% of the time.

I am having a problem with Apple Savings via the Apple Card in Wallet. I am trying to Withdraw money and the amount screen comes up but it won’t accept any keyboard entry. I’m basically locked out of my Apple Savings. Anyone else have this issue with B2? No issues with B1. Thanks!
Won’t let me add any money either.

No problems on my iPad though.

It’s a minor issue and it beats having the keyboard bug whenever opening messages, 48 MP photos not displaying correctly in Photos, 5G not connecting on AT&T, etc. I notice it maybe 20% of the time I use my phone and even then it’s a minor glitch (10% of the total screen area) that I don’t care.

Nope sorry mate.

Yes, was discussed earlier in the thread.

It’s not only 14 Pro’s, I have it on my 13 PM

Thanks for the replies on my previous post everyone! Couldn’t resist, so I just updated to beta 2 and so far so good. Hopefully this one won’t fry my phone as much as beta 1 did 🥵

My 13 PM it’s definitely cooler with B2, it’s not draining battery like crazy too, but for me still not as good as 16. My Apple Watch it’s another story, bad battery life.

Just came here to ask if anyone has had the same issue/or found a solution for CarPlay not connecting to my phone through bluetooth since updating to beta 2. Even if I delete my phone from the car and try to add it back it won't find it at all. EarPods work fine btw.
I’m having the same problem. Had to go back to wired.

Would love for everyone (especially those newer to the develper beta program) to ensure you're not just posting about bugs, quirks, etc. but also reporting them to Apple. I suggest adding your feedback submission number from to your "bug reported" posts here, so that others can reference it/them when they report similar issues.

Wasn't there (historically) a Wiki on Page 1 that listed new and remaining bugs? (may help users not familiar with the less-user-friendly Search here)

So word of caution...I decided to go through all my passwords in Settings and update the ones with warnings. All was well until Google. I used the in app update on website feature in Passwords and then when I updated Google's it didn't save to Passwords. It's not easy remembering something fwq-logpb-keyunLL23. I'm not sure if it's a defect that Passwords didn't update, but I did encounter it on a couple of updates.

Hmm...you still want everyone reporting the bugs. The problem with posting the bugs on a wiki page is that people will say to themselves "ok, already reported" and not do so. Repeat reports tells Apple how prevalent issues are. Also, just because the symptom is similar doesn't mean it's actually the same root cause issue. The sys report / diags from the phone will tell Apple what information contributed to the use case.

So, yep, everyone should be reporting everything that they find remiss.

Thanks for the heads-up. I remember having that issue on early 16 builds, then it went away for a while. But always makes me nervous when changing or creating passwords.

I haven't had an issue creating passwords. It was the pop-up do you wanna save this password for the website never came up until after and then never updated.

Anyone figure out how to add COLOR to a pointer when using the “add a Shape” option when editing a photo?

All the other options under there give you the ability to adjust the color. Adding a pointer places one in black and only allows you to change opacity.

Works properly on ipadOS 17 b2 though

So far so good overall with iOS 17 Beta 2, the only issue I'm having so far is with wireless carplay, no issues connecting and maintaining a connection but for no apparent reason the music will stop playing and it kicks you to the carplay homescreen on the car screen. If you tap on music you can play again but it may kick you again. I think on the 4th attempt it stopped kicking me out so it's definitely more glitchy in this beta.

This was never an issue in B1 so hopefully this one gets fixed. Overall though it's been rock solid, my apps that I use regularly are still working just fine and battery life so far is great, on par with iOS 16 for me (14 Pro Max).

This is driving me nuts. You need to be able to get a pointer to poop pop from the background. Black doesn’t always do that.

I will not comment on ‘poop from the background’, I’m mature and such, I should rise above it. I will not do it!

Ugh…one lousy little letter

the ability to turn the watchface red on the ultra is gone for me on both beta 1 and 2 did they remove the feature or is there a different way to activate it?

I’m not sure what this is replying to, in particular. I said people should report issues independently, regardless of how many times they’ve been reported. I understand how Apple (and any software company, such as where I work) attack bugs based on severity and prevalence.

The “wiki” portion was more re: people asking questions and being met with snark/sarcasm for either not using the Search function, or not reading x number of pages. Not operating on the “assumption” that seeing a bug in the Page 1 wiki would prevent someone from reporting it again, it could be useful for those more casual beta testers and non-developers to see what we’re already aware of in THIS thread - still proceed to report any/everything YOU experience, personally.

One post about “defect 3” with 9 emoji reactions and 4 “exact same here” and “yup” replies is less useful than 13 separate reports Apple on the issue. Apple does look at reported issues linked to others - I know from years of experience dealing with them.

I had an early problem with Photos on b2.
I could look at the photos I have, but could not perform any functions with them.
No editing, no mailing or texting, could not take photo and have it saved to Photos, could not sync photos with desktop.
Suddenly yesterday, all started working again.
Was getting an error message that said “can’t perform that function. Try again later”.
