Presently unable to add or withdraw funds in Apple Savings. I can select the option but pressing any numbers for a dollar amount doesn’t change what amount from zero. Tried rebooting, re-added checking, adding another linked deposit account, no luck. Presently on beta 2. Anyone else see this issue?
I am able to add funds, but not withdraw. Is there a workaround?

Just noticed that Home app now has “check in” settings. I’m guessing this is a new HomePod ability where you don’t have to use the “intercom” feature and it’s direct two way conversation the same way walkie talkie works on Apple Watches. I know Alexa had this feature years ago. Can’t find yet how it actually works, just found the settings for it.

Home app > Home settings > Safety & Security > Check In section is at the bottom.
(iOS 17 beta 2)

I would be surprised if this is not somehow related to the Check In feature announce for Messages…

This is to do with the HomePods listening for and alerting you to smoke alarm sounds. It was introduced in a 16.x upgrade a few months ago.

In beta 2 they haven't fixed the search bar being placed down.
However, the unwanted microphone starting up has not happened yet. With this beta, I find myself rebooting my phone at least twice a day whereas on 16 I don't remember when I had to reboot.

Now before someone tells me that I knew it was beta, let me clarify the reason I went ahead with the upgrade was due to the bug I had faced on the last update on io16. I used to continuously get the message that service has been lost to the provider "null" and I couldn't get around that. However, thankfully that is fixed on the 17

Couple of things :(

Safari - I have my Display set to Dark full time. Suddenly all the tabs were opening Light. Killed Safari and tried again. No joy, all Light. Guess it is reboot time. Hit the volume and power button and got a “You want to Restart” message in the lower right hand side of the screen in Landscape. Never saw that before. Tried a screen shot and it rebooted, aka restarted.
That didn’t work for fixing the Light issue. Din’t save the screen shot either. Tried Display > Light/Dark and no help. Tried the reboot again and got the normal screen. Did a hard reboot and that was no help.
Had to do couple of things and when I reopened the iPad and reopened Safari, all was now well.

No clue what the heck happened nor what triggered the fix unless it was something Apple side.
Just an FYI. Happens again I’ll file a report.

This is great news but I’m a bit confused. People with the iPhone 13 Pro say this isn’t fixed on their devices. I wonder if this is coming only to the 14 Pro or even to the regular 14.
That would be really dumb if it ONLY comes to those devices. The post-processing needs work on all devices.
