I am curious how the phones not all being made in China this year will impact tracking them though
haptic feedback is back on silent switch toggle (the haptic feedback also feels slightly different than previous version)

Yeah, feels a bit more firm.
I guess doesn't matter, in a month and a half or so we won't be feeling it anymore (will be using the action button) haha
Interesting... I only get the haptic feedback when going TO silent... when I toggle silent OFF, I get nothing... don't think that's how it used to work - I think I remember getting it both ways (ON and OFF).
I still had it in B6... every time I rebooted my phone they came back... no so now.
And if it was in B6, why is it listed as RESOLVED in the B7 beta release notes?
They have carried over the same changelog between versions so what you see as the Beta 7 changelog contains all new features since Beta 1 and all fixes are what have been known issues in some of the betas between 1 to 7.
They've listed stuff that was fixed weeks ago. Unfortunately, the release notes don't seem to relate to a particular release any more but are just a vague list of stuff that's happened iOS 17.
Still, the fact they've fixed loads of things is the important bit.
Just wait a bit with the software update screen open.
Can I just recommend each update that the carrier versions be blank as I bet some haven't been updated since beta 1, or even iOS16.
