Went on the public beta yesterday and woke up to my iPhone telling me I was out of storage. What's very weird is that it noted 16 GB in Fitness+ videos that could be deleted, except the Fitness app showed no downloaded videos.

When I swiped left in my Settings on the videos they suggested deleting, I gained back the storage space.

13PM and iPad Pro 11 - have owned a pair of AirPods Pro 2 for a while now.
Yesterday I started getting this message on my iPhone anytime I started using them with my iPad.
WTF Apple.

Update - I went ahead and did the "Forget this device" on my 13PM for my APP2. Went ahead and set back up on the 13PM for the APP2. Good from last night till a little bit ago. ☹️

My 13PM is sitting on my desk sideboard, the APP2 in case about 5" away (or so), and the iPad Pro 11 on my desk. Not using any of them. Tapped on the 13PM screen to see what Notifications have popped up, and there it is, from 20 minutes ago; "AirPods Pro Found Moving With You. The owner of...."

pita.

I don't think this is beta related, but I really get annoyed when I'm playing a game with the silent mode on and everything is fine until one of the annoying ads comes up and overrides the setting on the silent switch.

EDIT: It's not all ads, only some of them. I'll try a make a list if anyone is interested.
For me one of the biggest reasons to skip apps with ads, in-app purchases. There are a ton of pay once (controller) apps without banner/video ads that ruin the gaming experience.

Anyone else got issues with HomeKit geolaction automations not working? All mine have stopped.

That’s been a thing for years. I absolutely hate it too!

Best advice I can give, use an ad blocker like AdGuard and make sure to have DNS implementation set to ON using AdGuard (not sure what other apps have this) and blocks ads system wide. If you google Lifetime subscription and the name of the app you should find deals for it. I paid $20 or so. Well worth it. Best of luck!

Just went to iOS 17 on my main device, and noticed something. It may have been mentioned already, but I may have missed it, but I noticed that Siri's initial response seems to lag behind that of iOS 16.x? With iOS 16 the first "ding" seems to be much quicker than iOS 17. I find myself already asking a question before she's "ready." Hope that makes sense.

Same. This seems like it’s gonna be a buggy release. Too many battery drain reports and iCloud / iMessage storage bugs this close to GM. Going to avoid updating till it’s out and after reports that most issues are fixed.
This is probably the most stable final beta in quite a long time. You’re focusing on the bugs reported in a forum for specifically that. The majority of complaints you see aren’t widespread and are typically isolated to a specific device setup.

I’ve had it on my 14PM since the beginning and my phone feels so much better than it did on iOS 16. They keyboard improvements alone trump are worth the update.

You just did a X.0 update so there’s a lot going on the background. Give it some time to settle in and I believe your issue will resolve itself. I don’t use Siri a lot but for music requests everything seems good to me.

It does. The glow globe thing pops up and it is like Siri pauses then inquires.
Add to that the ongoing issue of Siri popping up asking what you want or trying to answer when you never queried Siri in the first place.

Pretty sure this update killed incoming calls on all 3 iPhones (14Pro, 13mini, and SE 3rd gen) I updated. Carrier is Xfinity Mobile and now all incoming calls go directly to voicemail on all 3 devices. Sent Apple feedback - no response yet. Tried all kinds of fixes including restoring phones, replacing esim etc w/o any luck. Never had any major issues with prior betas. Don't even want to call XM support - never had a good experience with them in the past. Anyone else have this or similar issues?

Yes, exactly.

I guess we'll see if the RC addresses it.

Thx

I would start by texting Apple support. They’re very responsive and you don’t have to worry about hold times.

Captain Obvious here, but you have done a hard boot or two, right?

I had one instance where I could not make/receive calls early on with B8, but a hard reboot fixed it...

Thanks but yeah I've tried hard reboots, erase and restores etc w/o success.

I did submit feedback to Apple a few days ago. I'm kind of hoping a new beta will drop in a few minutes which would provide a fix in it. Maybe I'll try Apple support if that doesn't happen.

I expect battery drain issues until the RC. Have had no cloud/Message storage issues to speak of, for me.

I’d just go ahead and do it. We won’t see another beta until the Release Candidate is released about 1pm PDT on Tuesday (after the iPhone event)
